*This entire event was absolutely disgusting. Free mixing taking place and a nasheed artist perforing on stage... This is haram and not from the way of the Salaf. Honestly Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah should have avoided coming here. Very sad*

Nasheed artist's performance is haram? Curious, nothing else

I don't see any free mixing happening. Also this whole notion of getting the women and men to not exist in the same room is really curious... How do you guys go buy groceries or go shopping? How do you guys live your lifes, when you are supposed to not encounter the other gender? Very curious. It is not like every man was secluded with a non-mahram woman in this big venue!? Are we muslims animals, that we can not even keep ourselves together and behave? And by the way... I rather have a brother talk about getting drug dealers and protitutes off the streets and on the way to allah, than have to read such comments, that talk about an event they think to be disgusting, because two genders were together in a same immense room. And on top of that talking as if they knew what the actual way of the salaf was. Go ahead and read the stories of the sahaba... Was it free mixing, when Nusaybah (radhiallahu anha) was fighting side by side with our beloved prophet (salallahu alaihi wa salam)? Was it free mixing, when Salman Al-Farsi (radhiallahu anhu) went to see his brother Abu Darda (radhiallahu anhu) and found his wife Umm-Darda and then spoke to her freely as to why she looked disheveled with wholes on her clothes? Do you have any idea how many times men where talking with women freely back then? And them being taught by women about islam and taking care of the wounded? What about Shifaa (Laila) Al-Adawiyah??? The first "finance minister" of the muslim Ummah. She went through the Sooqs (markets) and checked on everyone trading, so that they did not violate Allahs (subhana wa ta-ala) rules. Do you think she did not speak freely and mixed freely with the men? The Ummah needs to check itself and stop trying to be holier than the predecesors. We have way bigger issues to deal with in our time.

@@AmeenaF19I don't usually respond to ridiculous comments but I guess this is an exception. You clearly do not know anything about the event because if you saw the video's all over social media there was literally brothers and sisters clearly amongst each other. And as for your comment "how do people go buy groceries". This is something that is done out of necessity.
I find it sad how individuals try to justify something that is clearly haram within the religion and you try to use exceptional circumstances to try justify something that is clearly haram. Allah says in the Qur'an: "And do not approach fornication". Indicating that He forbids anything that may lead to fornication. Allah says: "Do not approach" meaning that anything that leads to fornication is prohibited and no doubt free mixing is a means to that.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "the best rows for women (in prayer) are the last ones and the worst ones are the first ones."
And he ordered women to be in a separate place (from men) during the Eid prayer.
So stop trying to justify free mixing when there's clear evidences from the Qur'an & Sunnah

Oh my god.... Brothers and sisters amongst each other? Do you mean people together? What a fitna... I guess being thousands of people in an immense room, learning about their deen or at least listening to reminders can really get everyone turned on and deroute to become a giant orgy... thank you for warning me about this. I will make sure no one in my nearest family or my friends even, go out ever again. Let us all be secluded, stop being active members of society and only dare to leave the house when you tell us it is safe. You are right... nowadays lowering the gaze and wearing hijab is not an option anymore. We need to hide. Let's hide. We need also to throw out all our devices in the bin, stop consuming media, live under a rock and do not ever try to socialise. This is the halal path.@@AH-il8sp
