One day I will meet this band. I never wanted to be the fan girl who cries when meeting a band and tells them how much they saved my life but i have no choice. So many years of never ending physical and emotional abuse. So much pain and torture. And out of all the fucking bands, all the artists and all the lyrics out there in the world; the only thing that made the bad stuff go away was this fucking band. Years of pain just completely vanished when my headphones were in and their albums were playing.
Thank you guys so fucking much for being the only damn band to get me through my life. I love you

Genres are like memes, they can get stale if they just are the same old thing over and over, but if the memes are varied within one type of meme, that type of meme can live long, and influence other memes once it's dead. The 1:32 part sounds very industrial, and industrial metal bands incorporate sounds such as these in their music. I think that's what they meant. Of course this isn't industrial metal, but it clearly has industrial influences.
1:32 is also VERY beatdown. If they play this live the pit will be swallowed.
I love this new sound.
This has an almost "hip-hop" vibe to it, with the layering of samples and drum track. It's hard to place in a single genre, true artistic inspiration.
i've been all about being as an ocean since the beginning and as much as i love the old stuff, this blew my mind. this band is doing everything right.

if a band changes the direction they're heading and starts changing their whole genre it's allowed for fans to not like the new stuff, it's a thing people do, nothing reprehensible. yeah of course some people like the old and the new stuff but that doesn't need to apply to everyone
I personally love the older BAAO and this really is a nice change for the band. They took the risk of changing their style and, in my honest opinion, they still rock it! To each their own, though.

I love the dark parts in this. They're just hints, but if this song is a teaser for the whole album, and there's going to be more, darker songs, I'm sold.

When I look back to all the albums that have been released ... there has always come a new sound with each album . when you listen to all the great songs from then to now you can hear the difference clearly . sure i'm a little bit sad, cause i'm in love with the old songs but even though the way they r making music has changed and im not a fan of this electronic and technical sounds, i'll always listen to their songs. there are still these meanful lyrics and behind all the songs -there are this amazing and wonderful people which make their music with heart

Icynox46 pit yesterday at the concert during this song was fucking insane! Strobe lights, even more bass, guitars sounded heavier, whole crowd going wild!

This is amazing. BAAO started dropping this feel of music from their most recent stuff. It wasn't strong at all, but you could tell that they where moving here slowly. The fact that they finally transitioned means that they are becoming more comfortable with the evolution of their music. I'll always follow you guys wherever you go. Because I know that sounds change, but that doesn't mean the souls behind them do.

I love BAAO, but it feels like I won't be digging this. Dissolve was average, OK was ok lol and Black and Blue was too electronic for my taste. I love the passion that they put in their songs, but I also love hearing actual instruments, which is what this albums seems to lack.
And here you are again, trying to dismiss a perfectly understandable opinion just because you feel offended.
Let me explain to you how the music industry works.
>Band makes its debut
>They obtain fans
>Fans buy merch and albums
>Band makes profit
>Release more music and repeat
That's it. Quite basic huh?
However, if the band suddenly drops everything that made them popular, fans will likely be disappointed, which affects the scheme I just described.
Wouldn't you agree people are allowed to express their thoughts? Even if you don't agree with them, their opinion actually matters a lot. No band can succeed without fans.
I feel no need at all; you just happen to make that impression.
Now, before going any further I'd like to state that I did kinda like this song, however I truly believe they dropped everything that made their sound unique or special. Compare their original sound with the current one, and the differences are very obvious. They clearly dropped their hardcore sound and adapted a mix between experimental electronic-industrial music; now you can barely hear the instruments, Joel doesn't scream like he used to do... honestly, they changed their sound. The only thing that sorta remains the same is the passion, but that's debatable.
Personally I don't feel that meaning and passion anymore, and that's why people feel the need to leave their "negative feedback" comments here. Undestandably, some fans are afraid this band might sell out.
Just remember that that negative feedback and jokes aren't exactly "hate comments"
So your "call it on the bullshit it is" statement kinda falls apart when you take in mind that they did in fact change pretty much everything. They went soft, so to speak. You can't really claim that's a lie when it really is the truth.
I'm willing to interchange opinions if you'd like, as long as we keep it civil.

first of all this band is not all about making money so they will change their sound as they feel like and some old funs will remain where others will leave but new will be added etc..
i personally loved this album as well as their old ones but any opinions are accepted. whoever there is a thing going on here. we (the funs) get disappointed when a band changes its sound but at the same time we are disappointed when they remain the same. There is no right or wrong. The whole thing is about the band. They will write what expresses them what they love. If they write something just to keep their old sound there will not be passion neither love ajd of course the musicians themselves will not he happy. And i can feel the passion in this album so that will make me happy

This whole album is an experience, like an abstract impression... it's a very mature and self-conscious piece of art created by few beautiful minds that closed the rusty door of the past, and it's hardly understandable; i personally really appreciate this. I like to see it metaphorically as a little and quiet sphere of peace, purity and tranquillity surrounded by the darkness of the deepest chaos and anger trying to set in. Listened to this after iTunes recommended it after listening to the new Arch Enemy song. This is something totally different to me and I'm liking it. There's zero guitar in this song and the sampling actually makes up for the lack there of in an odd euphoric way. May have to check out their other stuff.
