Fresh foam more v4 is one of the best shoes I've tried this year. I'd put it over the 1080v12 and Novablast 3. My top shoe is Speed 3. I don't have pronation issues though.
I think if you don’t like me I can see why you love it
@@FordyRuns awe, I like you, Fordy! That's not it! Lol
Speed 3 been d best I have ever worn so far ,but I will give a V4 a chance after this video! I like cushioned shoe
Same saucony always first but these are a close second
Thanks for the review Chris. I had a problem with V3 rubbing my ankles. I'm still running in the Hoka Bondi 7 which I got on clearance. At least, it's good enough for me. Would like to try the Triumph series one day.
Very interesting to hear about your pronation experience. I tried multiple pairs of NB today and fit wise, these fitted the best, but I did notice what you said. Maybe it's because I've been used to my Brooks which have guide risks and feel very stiff, hence looking for something softer.
Great shoe review chris. Just been looking at the shift 2 wondering what the triumph is like as a running shoe as need to replace my endorphin speed shoe
I break out my more chonk v4 when everything is sore and I just want to casually cruise around the neighborhood with no cares given on pace or distance. My feet sit down and kind of cradle into the outsole so they have kept me pretty stable and straight so far.
Love the More v4 for easy runs! My sizing experience is the same as yours with NB. I'm true to size in their Fuelcell line, and half size down in fresh foam.
weird aint it!
I have to say I also feel like fuelcell shoes are smaller than fresh foam I had exactly this question
@@FordyRuns that was a great review, thank you.
I have the More v3 which I don't feel are very stable. I do feel a little heavier now than they did at the beginning. The foam does not feel as soft as they did but my body changes a far bit.
I am not a runnier but a walker. I do pronate. I have tried on the More v4 in store twice which they do feel better than v3 in my experience. Yes they are softer but feel more secure, stable. I do understand shoes will feel 7 Very different once wearing them in natural environments. V 4 do feel a tad heavier. I do wonder how long will it take for the fresh foam to compress.?
I am a wide fitting size 7 but for the v4 my foot was better in the B width size 7.5 which I was amazed as I take a 2e or a good D width. Is the shoe deeper than the v3 and not as wide as v3??
Hi Fordy. What color More V4 is that? Is it the Black with Phantom, can’t tell. The one you have looks a lot lighter.
I know exactly what you’re talking about. At the 50 mile mark of the invincible I can feel the foam slanting towards the outside. And it was hurting my right hip. Had to stop wearing it. Was wondering if this shoe did the same. Thanks for confirming. Just saved money. I think I might get the 880 v13 or 1080.
The tendency to roll to the lateral side is actually really good for me as an overpronator. (No good of course if ya supinate) so it became my favorite "stable" easy runner and im probably getting a second pair soon.
I experienced the same rolling outward with the More V3 (though only on one foot). It also got worst the more I used the shoes. Had to stop using them. Came to the same conclusion that too much soft stack wasn't good for me. So I totally agree with your warning.
Glad to know it’s not just me
I bought a pair of these for my recovery runs after races and harder workouts. Getting the lockdown on these right is hard and the laces hurt the top of my foot sometimes. The Shift 3 is a lot better shoe, but I use it for everyday mileage.
yeah I much prefer the Shift
I think these max cushion shoes are more essential and a different experience for us 200+ lbs runners. I have these and Invincible Zoom X Flyknit. Tough to judge a winner though as my sizing is probably half way between the two.
Dear Fordy Runs I have just bought a pair of new Balance fresh foam High Sn19 (style No 2113850 and no one on Google nor CZcams has ever herd of them !! Would you tell me what category they come under so I can get a review - they feel quite comfortable thanks
Thanks for the review. Also noticed it rolling my feet outward. Even tried replacing the insole to a flatter one. Outsole on the balls of the foot not that durable. Almost sanded out after 90km.
Its a weird feeling that rolling out
@@FordyRuns Tried a new insole. Decathlon aptonia run 300. Works much better now. Don’t feel the rolling that much anymore.
Are these good for runners that experience Achilles tendinitis pains?
My foot is 26 cm long. What is the perferct size if i buy this shoe? Do I need to buy 26,5 cm insole or stick to 26 cm insole? Thank you for your advice.
Great review, I tried the V4 but it just felt clunky and unstable. 1080V12 has a magical balance. How do you compare it to the Sketchers Max 5?
Max Road 5 is the king! I just hope 6 is not a complete failure
How does this compare with the triumph 20?
Hi Fordy I find the more v3 isn't a easy shoe the same as the invincible is. It's best for me around 5 minute km as I find the fresh foam really provides the best response there. I'm guessing the 4 will be similar. Ultimate easy day shoe is the invincible. Also really like some hoka shoes for easy like the Rincon.
I’m gonna try the 3rd version
Nike have got the Pegasus 39 for as low as £66. Worth getting??
My “max cushion” shoes include Skechers MaxRoad 5 and Novablast v1-so I’m not sure they are max cushion in the same way as the More v4. Anything I’ve tried over 10oz or so feels really heavy on long runs (Shift v1 and Glycerin 19 just weren’t my favorites on long runs).
I’ve noticed the same thing about new balance sizing-Fuel cell rebel v2 and and Rc Elite I needed a 10.5, but then I got a 10.5 in the Beacon and I’m absolutely swimming in it (I’m usually a womens 10).
I can't run in anything above 260 gr and enjoy it... In RC Elite V2 and REBEL V2 I am TTS (snug) and 1080V12 half a size down.
LOVE the MaxRoad 5
Hi my friend, really good review, thank you!! my weight is 95 kilos (1.92 height), should i go for the More V4 or the 1080 v13?
I prefer the 1080
I always come here for an honest review what would you choose as a more do it all shoe I'm 13st so need more cushion I need like to pick up pace now and then so trying to choose between the T20 and more v4
I meant 1080 btw not more v4
I recently run a few marathons and next year I’m looking to enter 5k to half marathon races. I’ve never had a pair of Skechers but interested to find out what shoe you’d recommend based on those type of distances. I’m probably thinking 10 -12 milers will be my sort of long run distances…. Thanks.
Loads to chose from how about the Saucony pro 3
Is there a skecher shoe you’d recommend?
I got confused with the pronation and feet rolling outward problem you mention. Doesn't a feet roll inward when you overpronate?
Supination is when feet roll outward.
Correct over pronation- inwards
Sounds like you prefer a firmer ride. Has the Endorphin Shift 3 taken the top spot from the Glideride 3 as your favorite cruiser?
Still loving the Glideride 3
Had same problem with the V3 after 25-30 miles. Felt like I was falling off the edge of the shoe.
Nice tash by the way 😅

What about the More V3? Did you find that one unstable also? I have about 70km on the V3 and so far it's been fine for me.
Have you watched the video? I think I mentioned it even in the first 2 mins I’ve not ran in other versions 🤷♂️ Anyway thanks for stopping by appreciate you commenting
@@FordyRuns Somehow I missed that, thanks.
Fordy, maybe the ASICS superblast would be better. It is some give, but not supper soft, there is some support in the mid sole.
I’m hoping ASICS get them over asap
For sizing, US 9.5 for the More v4 works for me. Would you recommend US 9.5 or US 10 for the Rebel v3?
Fuel cell needs half a size up ⬆️ from Fresh Foam..
go up
Thanks for the advice! Keep up the awesome content 👍
I tested them in running store. Too much stack for me. That foam compresses a lot, if your running form is not that good it can cause instability and injury. You trade off shock protection with lateral ankle and knee movement. For sure not a shoe for excessive pronators. Or for flat feet. @Fordy: maybe spend a little time working on that pronation. Took me a full year, but I corrected mine a lot.
Good shoe, but difficult to buy in europe in 2e width...
If you get on with it you gotta go Invincible for easy recovery miles 👑 Fordy have you tried the v2?
Nah mate I’m gonna hold off for v3
I don't get the More series either, for the same money you could purchase a glideride, 1080v12, triumph, or invincible v2 which are vastly better options.
Yeah I’m thinking the same
This More V4 running shoe lasted only 6 months until the upper tissue teared close to the front sole. Don't advise it
Right on.
thank you
Be really interested to hear your take on the Bondi 8 from Hoka. Most reviews I've seen say the Bondi 8 is a bit too firm and the More v4 is just right. If you think the More v4 is too mushy, maybe you'll think the Bondi 8 is just right?
That’s a good shout
Hi Steve, I have bondi 7 and Clifton 8 and New Balance more v3.
Bondi 7 is firmish compared to Clifton and More v3 but still is cushioned feels nice to walk in.
Stability: Bondi 7 feels more stable compared to more v3 and Clifton feels stablish.
Cushion: More v3 is the best then Clifton then Bondi 7.
All 3 are comfortable to wear I find.
I am very pleased with all of them
New versions hopefully are better. Hope this gives you an idea.
Size 10 never in stock in the UK
going down half a size would make it more unstable as i think you lose like 3-4mm in width...
Like the stache👨

I guess I won't be getting this one then. I love the 1080v12, but just need something softer at the moment. The novablast 3 is too firm to fulfill that role, and the invincible run (which is my favourite) also pushes me onto the outside, which makes it unsafe for me because I already supinate.
I am in the same boat - I am hoping the Superblast works
Foam was great but the shoe felt clumsy to me.
nevet too much stack
You mustache us a question? Shave it for later…
: )

Damn CLICKBAIT with the Red Shoes in thumbnail SMMFH
Next year, instead of More V5, NB will launch the new, Fresh Foam Less V1
LOL :D
I think it is easier to run in best form when you’re going a bit faster than easy easy.
It's an ugly brute and way too stacked for my liking, you can see why it's called the Fresh Foam 'More'!
The investigation and rigid analysis using thermal image data has been condusively researched in New research labs....for this shoe...but its stack foam is made higher for extra comfort....If you compare with other fast shoe brands, NB fits exactly. So extra research on your blog seems to be unappealing. This shoes has been tested, verified and validated an on Worlds best fast runners / athletes....
They rank ( 4.5/5). Even Nike, Adidas and Asics are in least stage of Thermal image CAD simulations on human feet.
Hey mate Pronation is rolling in , yet you keep talking about 'rolling out'.
Wtf you on about? Do you even know what you talking about?
