Maybe focus on why people look to Marxism and the failures of our current system instead. What problems do we have today? What problems do people think Marxism will solve? That's the relevant part. Obsessing over what labels people put on themselves like "marxists" or "communists" when they haven't even read/understood the ideology doesn't really yield anything. It's fighting windmills, because even if you had the perfect counter arguments it wouldn't matter because the ideology you're arguing against, the real Marxism, isn't what they have in mind most of the times. Most people using that moniker, once you have a discussion with them, turn out to actually not be Marxists when the full picture develops, but rather they had latched on to one or two ideas that they had heard were represented in Marxism.
While I take your point, and you made it very well, I would say the real focus should be on the ideologues that have infested academia over the last 90 years. Next let’s look at the unscrupulous politicians and activist who would use these ideas to drive a wedge into various sectors of society in order to further their own agendas…which are almost always power and profit.

Where my mind is at is maybe halfway towards the "how", because at the end of the day ideological liberation must come from the individual themselves. And it becomes a bit of a chicken-and-egg problem, because how do you educate people to think freely/look through the dogma, while the education system is the way it is. But at the same time how would you bring change to the education system if nobody has been taught how to be free. And I think that's were social media comes in, and content creators such as yourself. It has the ability to educate outside the institutions. Unfortunately many end up too much on the entertainment end of the spectrum and squander the opportunities. I'm very happy to see that you don't, since the more reasonable voices the are, the clearer the message comes across rather than become diluted. I appreciate the work you put in.
@@CurseTheVulgar I think we’ve arrived at the ultimate conclusion which is we must attack both sides of the problem: why do people turn to Marxism? For me the answer is nuanced but ultimately simple. It’s fear of independence, or ones lack of confidence that they can take care of one’s self, mixed with altruism / idealism that confronts the horrors of the world with the notion that being “good” is the solution, and a dash of laziness (I don’t want to have to mount the effort it takes to exist with liberty and have to defend that liberty).
