  • On our inaugural trip home with our new to us 1962 GM 4106 our turbo failed. This video we have our trusted mechanic and friend Joe in Eugene OR replace the turbo with a loaner unit borrowed off an engine he had, run the rack, adjust the jakes, and generally inspect the engine on the bus. We went for a test drive and identified several issues that will need attention…

Joe has forgot more than most of us know. I introduced him to Scott when he was at my place with a dropped valve several years back, they are friends now

Joe is a great mechanic! I've seen him before in another series... Too bad that other engine was never finished (as far as we know)... Keep Joe as your friend...

Interesting mechanic. Do you think that cutting that stop was the correct way to adjust that? I wish i could have seen him adjusting the Jac. Thanks.

It interfaces with some stuff inside the gov when installed and there is no adjustment for the innard side? Adjusting the outside lever wouldn’t change the clearance
