this title misleading though, she literally tells cloud in the beginning of rebirth to not take tifa's friendship for granted and that she wished she had a friend like that growing up. same thing applies here, aerith's sad that she didn't have any friends growing up, it's more her being sad about her childhood than her being jealous.

@@unskillfullymasterfulshe already explains this in gongaga, he never gave a reason for her to not to. but she moved on and is in love with the real cloud and is searching for him, and you can see this happening in the game when she keeps comparing notes with tifa.
zack will end up with cissnei. dont know in wich universe tough, maybe they will pull an evangelion
@@unskillfullymasterful she still has some underlying feelings for zack but she still ends developing feelings for cloud regardless, they make that pretty clear in rebirth.
@@bladerjCissnei fits better for Zacl. She is friends with his parents, before she even meet Zack, she knows him better and longer then Aerith. Aerith just happened to be there and Zack was just being nice to her.
@Matagu1 No offense, but this is such a weird conclusion. Zack loves Aerith, and Aerith loves Zack. Their connection is the whole basis for him struggling to return to her; it's the whole basis for Aerith's initial attraction to Cloud, and it's probably a basis for Cloud's initial attraction to Aerith. Cissnei is a side character, and it wasn't her Zack died trying to return to. Zack and Aerith, along with Cloud and Tifa, have a connection that creates the backbone of the whole story.
Ship what you want, but trying to delete a huge part of the story so you can throw Zack together with a minor character? Nah.
Rather than jealous, it's more like she wants Cloud to be more honest and open up.

I don't think jealous is the right word. Moreover, she was angry because her childhood was not as enjoyable as Cloud's. Although Cloud may have been a loner since childhood, Aerith had no friends at all..

Neither of them actually had friends growing up so Cloud and Aerith both know the pain of feeling lonely and just wanting a friend.
I think a clear contrast between them is drawn in this particular interaction, though. Cloud has Tifa, someone from his childhood with whom he can reminisce with. Aerith doesn't.
Aerith isn't jealous of Cloud and Tifa's relationship per se, she is justifiably bitter that her childhood was mostly stolen from her. The rest of the group were able to grow up mostly normal childhoods before Shinra and Hojo ruined them. When you are treated as a lab specimen for the first 7 years of your life, then watching your mom die in front of you, it's amazing she still found the power to go on with a positive personality and could process that mental trauma.
That's not Jealousy , that's Envy
This title is so misleading. Aerith is not jealous but more likely, envious. And she's envious of their childhood friendship, one that she never had as a child. She was an outcast because she's different. And she's amazing for not letting out her anger on Cloud because he doesn't have to do with any of it.
I like how the best answer for building a relationship with Aerith basically feels more like a Tifa/Aerith moment with her saying that "if I were you, I'd try to get Tifa's attention all the time."
The choices I make with Aerith hurts the most knowing what will happen to her.
Title should be envious. She’s envious of their childhood friendship, not jealous or possessive of Cloud at all.

I personally believe Aerith knows Cloud needs healing. And i think she's wise enough to see that Tifa is the medicine Cloud needs. Aerith loves and cares selflessly. Which is why Aerith is such a great character. Because she always knows. A true healer 🙏

This is why i get so annoyed by the cloud and aerith shippers. They can't see how obvious it is that these 2 love each other. Cloud does love aerith, but not the same way he loves tifa! Their is obvious sexual tension between these 2.

she likes cloud too and actively pursues him romantically so idk about all that lmao. ppl are making this scene about ships when it has less to do with romance and more to do with friendship. aerith is very perceptive and she wants cloud to appreciate the fact that he has a childhood friend that he can rely on because she knows what it's like to have no one, in rebirth they really showed that that aerith deep down feels very lonely.
it's also a scene that shows how emotionally intelligent and mature she is... she was honest about how she feels, she acknowledges that she is upset and that she needs some time alone to process her feelings and on top of that she makes sure to not let out her anger on cloud, even if he doesn't mind it.

Cloud and Tifa loving each other is cannon. It's the core of the story. Whether Aerith likes Cloud romantically or is just using him as a stand in, that's the last thing that's up for "interpretation", and honestly, only barely.

Just realized when Aerith first wanted Cloud to sit next to her 0:49, he doesn't, even seemed a bit uncomfortable. It's only later that he sits down.....in HIS spot! The one right in front of Tifa's house! 😭 must be muscle memory by now.
He’s uncomfortable to sit next to her because he doesn’t want to catch feels for a girl who loves someone else. Or so he thinks. (He is jealous).

In the first case it’s a: no I didn’t came here nervous like a young boy that was busted.
The second like a boy that always came but regret not having Tifa favors during that time and get mad to Aerith.
The last one like he just admit he would still do that.
This time they are going one direction with Cloud’s feelings
here instead of the delusional cloti shipper interpretation.
1 : being embarrassed he has done that.
2 : taking aerith teasing the wrong way
3 : looking at it as fond memories of his childhood, he shares his embarrassing past with aerith with a smile.

"Sounds like something I'd do" is phrased as a present tense, not past tense. Past tense would be "Sounds like something I would've done". Instead of trying to make excuses for why Cloud phrased that in the present tense, just accept it. Any excuse is headcanon. \_(ツ)_/
I totally agree with you. All of the option are like "Yeah, you got me", but one is awkward, one is angry (that he is being caught) and the last is just happily admitting the truth.

How mush more proof do you want that cloud has always had eyes for Tifa. Aerith is her wingman and she knows they both love each other and is trying to put them together. Thats why she is so supportive for them. Remember this scene is a Aerith quest. And its focused on Cloud and Tifas relationship.
