Chakrata is a cantonment town and also a sub-district/tehsil, in Dehradun district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It lies between the Tons and Yamuna rivers, at an elevation of 2118 m, 98 km from the state capital, Dehradun. Chakrata was originally a cantonment of the British Indian Army.
The area is known as Jaunsar-Bawar, which has a marked presence in few surrounding villages.
Tiger Falls is one of the highest direct waterfalls in Uttarakhand. It is 20 km from Chakrata and has an elevation of 312 ft.

24 June ki.. afternoon me barish ho gai thi.. us din.. abhi barish jyada nhi ho rahi dehradun me but Chakrata me kabhi bhi ho sakti hai.
Baaki road acha hai.. maine barish me hi neeche utra tha..

Bro.. I didn't stay.. same day vapas aa gaya tha.. Chakrata is a small village.. hotel apko mil jayega jayega 1500 tak maine.. ap tiger fall ki taraf bhi le sakte ho.. us taraf kaafi option hai stay ka... Sat sun jaoge to ap 9 se 10 baje tak pahuch Jana.. hotel easily mil jayega..

Bro.. afternoon tak to dhoop rahti hai . But whether kabhi bhi change ho jaata hai.. afternoon me barish ho rahi hai ajkal.. vapsi me bahut tez barish me main fans gaya tha.. baaki stay karna hai to early morning nikal jana .. rasta acha hai till Chakrata

Please check whether condition before go... Baaki road is good till Chakrata.. itna landslide bhi nhi hota.. ek do jagah thoda bahut stones girte honge.. ap ja sakte ho
