- Silva did the macarena against the cage for 80% of the fight
- Silva's most significant moment was a cheap shot when Bisping was appealing to Herb for his mouthpiece
- Bisping wasn't KOd in the 3rd anymore than Silva was KOd in the 1st. He was knocked down right on the buzzer but wasn't put away.
- Fights aren't won on damage. The scoring system is fucked but Silva knows that and let Bisping rack up points against the cage.
- Silva could've finished it at any point in the 5th. He didn't want it enough.

People who think that MMA fights are won as soon as more blood is visible on your opponent than on yourself, are just stupid. It's primarily based on damage and control. And when I say damage I mean both visible and deep.
There are a lot of factors that decide who wins, such as CENTER CONTROL. Now, where did Anderson Silva spend most of his time during the fight? Hmm, up against the cage of course. However, that's his style. He does that to throw his opponents off and then counter, but against Bisping there wasn't much countering at all. Not even in the later rounds.
Besides, two of Bisping's cuts came from the mouth piece sequence, where Herb Deen DEFINITELY should have paused the fight, as soon as there wasn't any trading of punches. I mean, the only case when a mouth piece break should not be made is if one of the fighters have a very advantageous position, which Anderson DID NOT HAVE. The positions in question are usually during grappling, where there usually isn't much striking. The worst part is that when Anderson backed up a couple of feet, and Bisping stood quite some distance away (without his mouth piece), he was blown away when Herb still didn't stop. Those positions could have EASILY been reinstated after a mouth piece break, but instead, Herb (who is otherwise amazing) let Silva run from a distance(!) and hit Bisping with a flying knee.
That sentence says it all. In order for a flying knee to take place, there has to be some distance between the fighters, which obviously is a perfect time to stop and give Bisping his mouth piece.

Casuals use stats to determine victory. Silva hit him less, but hit him much harder, with much more velocity and much more damage. If you score the fight for Mikey because Mikey scored 60 more pitter patter pillow punches, you're a fuckin casual.

Rocky funny how you say casuals use stats to score fights when that’s what judges use to score fights, they utilize significant strike numbers and how effective they believe the strikes are, just because a fighter isn’t bleeding after a punch does not mean the punch was effective, Michael Bisping has. A lot of scar tissue which has the potential to open up at anytime and bleed, it does not necessarily mean a punch was super hard or carried more velocity, in fact most punches that open up cuts are glancing blows that barely make contact. A fig is judged by significant strike number, aggression/pace control, and octagon control all of which went into Bispings favor. This fight should not be controversial and is an easy win to judge for bisping.

I really like Anderson. And it's nice to see he is still deadly. He hurt Bisping pretty bad there, and he could've won the fight if he was more active, rather than standing around and clowning. However, I'm worried about his chin against top contenders. I kind of want him to retire at this age.

He tries to show his movement but it's not like before (slower for sure). This fight happened too late. Had this been 4 years ago when Bisping at his prime and Anderson was cleaning out all his opponent at 185 lbs, the fight would've proven something but Anderson would've knocked Bisping out much easily. Today's fight doesn't prove anything. If Anderson continues to fight, I expect him not to care about the result but continue to create highlight reel. So, we will have more beautiful shots from him stored in CZcams. The next generation can watch it in the future. I think it'll be hard to find the next Anderson.

Bisping was trying to tell herb dean his mouth guard was out and even pointed at it and Anderson hit him with a flying knee lol herb should have stopped it briefly so he can put it back in but instead Anderson took advantage of bisping trying to tell him about it. Even with that bullshit i gave Bisping a clearly 1,2,4 and was winning round 3 before that knockdown so that just depends on how you'd score it.

Silva showboated too much. I thought he was done with that after the Weidman fight. Hope he learned his lesson this time. He should've been more aggressive in the 4th and 5th round. He did land harder shots, and had him stunned with those front kicks. Hat's off to Bisping for digging deep.

It was a pretty good fight from both sides overall but Silva wasn't nearly as active as Bisping to win the fight on the scorecard, he should have just capitalized on his opportunity towards the end of the fight and KO'ed Bisping.

bisping won 3 rounds, it's that simple. had he taken the last 5 seconds of the 3rd round seriously he would have won that one as well, anderson was frustrated and saw him look away and hit him with a pretty cheap shot tbh. i mean it's mostly on herb, then on bisping, but silva knew bisping was trying to get his mouth piece back and as soon and bisping looked away he throws a flying knee... pretty shitty thing to do.
anderson looked old and slow tonight and the few decent punches bisping landed all seemed to wobble him. i loved watching anderson all those years he was dominant, but he's done. if he keeps fighting after that it's just for more money.
Bisping won. I used to be THEE biggest silva fan. But he had a few opportunities to pour it on and at least try to put him away and he just moved around and killed time. Big mistake IMO. Bisping got it done. Are the few hard blows from Silva and constantly fought the whole time while Silva was doing his dancing. And the mouthpiece. I get its a fight, but it's not a street fight, these are pro fighters.
