Loved the vidio especially the old style bikes. Only had one Husky TE 510 enduro bought it of a guy called Gwy Baraclough used to ride for the Army team based near swindon Wiltshire UK. I remember going in this massive hanger there was what I thought was a tiny section boarded off went round the hoarding an there was a long line of Husky dirt bikes bloody awesome. Had every make of dirt bikes over the years the husky is still king of the hill, went like a scalded cat handled and performed really well and was very reliable. Sold my Honda XR650r last year iconic bike but personally I would have swapped it gladly for my old husky.
It amazes me where so much of the video's I shot since the 80's winds up-- this was a really good video, lots of expensive studio editing on 1" tape machines, now a low end iPhone would do a better job!
@@JETZcorp husqvarna got sold in 86, but they still produced bikes until -88 but, in sweden we call the 86´s the real last ones. they got new plastics in 87, mostly the same bike thou. people say the plastics design wasn´t swedish.
@@JETZcorp Fall 1987 was the last Swedish made bike, a Husqvarna 510 4- stroke Enduro which rolled off the production line and was ridden out of the factory by the enduro legend above most legends, factory rider Sven Erik Jönsson 👊
I had one of these bikes, they still needed to work out the vibration! Dick Burleson passed me at Blackwater one year... I was in awe.
All Husky riders owe a big debt of gratitude to Malcom Smith for opening the door.
damn, he kick started that bike like "Chuck Norris"!
This needs to be three hours long and not three minutes!
Damn those guys can sure move over the terrain. I would rock one of those bikes today.
Awesome video. These are great bikes.
Yes they are and fun to ride but respect them
He's the man
I have 2018 ktm 450 but still love riding my 86 wr 400 and my dad still rides his 1981 husky 250 cr that he used to desert race.
I’d love to find a WR400 86’ what a bike.
Where do I get my xc250 motor rebuilt

2:11 Mike Melton! Met him when he was a young man and the next time I saw him he was an old man. So was I.

1986 was the last year of 100% Swedish bikes. After that Italians took over.
I think 88 was the last year for Swedish bikes.

I’m pretty sure 1987 was the last year for Swedish Huskies. After that down hill.
