@@belle5653 Short version: They live in South Korea, and not EVERYONE knows about how wrong this stuff is. Some counter with "Well, why didn't they look it up before they did XYZ". Problem with that is, is that how do you look something up online if YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF IT NOR WHAT IT IS CALLED.
They did a tribute to Bruno Mars, whom they [like some others] thought was African American [he's not], so they darkened their faces & dressed like Bruno & his crew did for his "Uptown Funk". This outraged many because it was blackface, they immediately [both the girls themselves & RBW] apologized numerous times, both written & in person (at their concerts). Prior to this, they NEVER EVER HEARD OF THE TERM NOR WHAT IT MEANS NOR IT'S HISTORICAL PAST. Therefore, there would have been no way they could've looked up "blackface" as prior to it, they never knew of that word nor what it meant. Other K-Pop Artists have done worse, some have yet to apologize, others are currently suffering the legal ramifications.
They were on a Music Show that used Melon for lyrics & stuff, Hye Jin [Hwa Sa] would sing a Beyonce song. MASSIVE NOTE: Hye doesn't speak fluent English & only knows limited actual English words, so she used Melon for the lyrics. The Song, which 99% of the released lyrical work doesn't contain the word, however & unfortunately, Melon's did. Hye ended up saying the "N" Word as she was singing the song & the lyrics she was reading had it in it. Now, see the previous points of:
* Hye doesn't speak fluent English
* Hye's South Korean and wouldn't have any knowledge of the word
* She not having EVER heard the word before, let alone seen it written out, wouldn't have any knowledge of the associated connotations.
* UPON LEARNING OF THE WORD & EVERYTHING AROUND IT, SHE IMMEDIATELY APOLOGIZED.
* How can one blame Hye Jin WHEN SHE WAS READING/SINGING FROM THE LYRICS PROVIDED BY MELON.

NOW for the False Stories:
Incident: Many accused them of wearing bindi's, many stated that they were appropriating the culture.
Problem with the above: It wasn't a Bindi, it was an Urna (Buddhist mark), also, Kim Yong Sun aka Solar IS A F***ING BUDDHIST HERSELF.
Incident: Queendom, MMM's covering of AOA's "Good Luck" song. Hye Jin would wear a durag, and "appropriating black culture".
Problem with the above: While majority of modern day African Americans wear durags, historically THEY WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES TO WEAR THEM. Pirates have been depicted as wearing them on occasion through various medias. Second, & this was even cut short by the Trolling Netizens, during MMM's discussion on not only what song from AOA they wanted to cover, but also how they wanted the concept of said song to be. Hye Jin had stated that she wanted to do a tribute to African style and to Reggae. Trolls cut most of what she says down to "that I want to do an African style", when in response to "What kind of genre do you want to perform?" she states "I mentioned... that I want to do an African style. I love that style...
Incident: Hye Jin reportedly called herself black.
Problem with the above: 1) There was a mistranslation on a fan's part that what was written had accidentally been mistranslated. 2) Hye actually called herself "dark" as in dark-skinned, which when compared to other South Koreans, her skin is darker then others.
....... okay, so that wasn't necessarily the "short version".

They're South Korean, born in South Korea, raised in South Korea, educated IN and ON South Korean History. They wouldn't have heard the term prior to iMooMoo's educating them, as there wouldn't have been way or reason that they would have been tought about such an issue let alone heard the term nor the history behind it.
While yes, it is a bad thing, it isn't globally know opposed to [example only] females having to be covered in certain middle eastern countries. Cause it's something that isn't widely educated everywhere or known everywhere, because not everyone is thought about things in other countries.
I use that example as reflecting something that isn't globally known vs something that would be, because I'm certain that before any female travels to a middle eastern country, they're told by someone, somewhere, along the way prior to boarding the airplane that they'll have to cover their bodies, which depending on the country can range from not too bad to covering everything to where the ONLY skin that is shown are hands and a little bit around the eyes. I believe some prohibit even showing even that little amount of skin.

First of all, Mamamoo don’t have roles, i wanted this video to be as accurate as possible and already thought they didn’t have a role and visuals but i wanted to be sure and looked on a site that had wrong information stated. I’m sorry if i got people mad lol. The other thing is (most people know this) that robot voice Daniel pronounces Moonbyuls voice as Moonbile. please(!!) don’t think that that’s how I pronounce her name in real life. You’re supposed to pronounce it as: Moonbyeol. And lastly for the people saying it was Tae who ignored Solar and not Jimin, both of them didn’t see her and but I only said Jimin. Which was my mistake. I hope I cleared some stuff up!
