      NOT really... Philippine High school ROTC ...Uses NON functioning old rifles that might have been used long ago when the American military came over after the Philippines was secede to the US by the Spanish colonizers. . I'm actually SURPRISED they have this competition because there is talk now by the current administration to bring back MANDATORY ROTC. I thought ROTC was totally gone as part of the Philippine school curriculum.

    • @chinopacia1946
      @chinopacia1946 Před 7 lety +4

      ROTC is for college...no such thing as high school ROTC in the Ph. I think you're talking about the Citizen's Army Trianing(CAT) which was mandatory for senior high school students. Most school nowadays esp. in the metro area replaced CAT with non-"military styled" activities but in the provinces they still do actively do it. These are dummy rifles, exact copy of the Springfield 1903 made of light wood with metal fittings.

    • @YYC403NOYP
      @YYC403NOYP Před 7 lety

      Chino Pacia I stand corrected. Was it PMT though? Was the ROTC program scrapped in colleges and universities? What are they talking about bringing it back?

    • @chinopacia1946
      @chinopacia1946 Před 7 lety +1

      I think PMT is the predecesor of CAT...the earlier version...thats what our grandfathers went through during their senior high. The ROTC program was scrapped in the early 2000s because of hazing in cadets even resulted in deaths.

    • @death_ledger
      @death_ledger Před 7 lety

      These are just dummy rifles, real ones are not allowed in high schools in ph..I bet they don't even have holes to put a pellet in.. Actually I'm surprised they have bayonets, tho of course fakes but when I was in CAT our dummies are mostly of wood except some like the muzzle, trigger,guard,heel .. But the entirety however are all wood..

    This link is their 2018 perdormance m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1871428672933736&id=100001998639196 Yesterday, they performed again on that same place but at yesterdays time they didn't won. We the audience expect that this team will win the champion and take the roving trophy. Actually their performance yesterday was the best among the rest and the most unique. None of the rifles have been fall, they had the Japanese march, perfect alignment, and the snappiest among of all the high school cadets. But as i said they didn't win the champion. They are just a 3rd placer or 2nd runner up. The 1st runner is the shittest among the all because they just copied the 2016 and 2017 ICNHS SILENTDRILLCORPS routines. I don't have the link of the 1st runner up perfmance but i have
    The new champions performance. Thenew champions got a 100 score even they have rifles falling and caps. Their alignments aren't that good and they are not the snappiest. That's why people questioned the judges why do they had the 100. In the criteria if there are rifles falling points will be subtract but their score still is 100 how. Just watch this links you judge it and reply to this comment who do you think is the champion. The new champion is inthis link watch it and judge it. facebook.com/chxchinita/videos/2131126066905919/
