I’ve been a midzy since they debuted and this experience has been incredible and the response from all of you is more than I could ever ask for. Lia does have a solo!! And I’m sure they’re gonna do an OT5 version when they perform. Lia just posted her solo two months ago earlier than everyone else as a special gift before she left for the extended hiatus. It’s a short lyric video the same length as the other solo mvs but the full song is on the album. Taking this to mean that she will be back sometime next year!! They’re gonna be touring again so I think Lia may join for that later hopefully
Lia wont join the tour, at least thats what the information said. Shes aiming to rest until after that is what the company said in a message about her hiatus.

@@Casper745 I think Itzy took a turn in his career from 2021 you can clearly see a break between bubbly music and more mature sounds. In fact, 5 albums have entered the Guess Who billboard in the last few years. I think the older Itzy gets, the better their albums sound. For my part, I really enjoyed Itzy in 2021, whereas before I didn't like it, it was too teen crush. You may hate me, but I don't like Dalla Dalla, Icy, Wanabe, the only exeception of leu's old concept is Not Shy, that's all.
Don't get the wrong idea lia had a solo(blossom🌸) in this comeback and lia shows her what she's hiding from a long time her amazing vocals and all of her emotions you should react to it it's one of the top song in this album and itzy also said when the album and music video release that lia is watching us and she's fully supporting us and we wanted to give our best so when lia unnie came back so she can enjoy all the things and be happy and they also said they are going to do it again when lia came back so don't worry about her or don't get the bad idea everything gonna be fine itzy mention lia everytime they got a chance 😊

Your observation about Mr. Vampire and Somi's Gold is interesting. Along with many others, I instantly thought that the instrumental in the chorus of the former is similar to Birthday. I'm not in a ton of kpop spaces so you're the first ones I know who made that connection which is cool because I never rly realized that there's still remnants of Somi's debut song to her current release.

Lia DOES have a solo on the album though, and it's arguably the best one. I AM very curious to see how they incorporate her into the group tracks once she does return however... Incredible era overall; just wish Lia was part of it.

This is their best album (overall package + discography). This is just my opinion as well but their popularity "outside" of Korea is phenomenal! "Born To Be" coveted first place on the worldwide iTunes album chart in over 20+ countries including the US which tells you everything you need to know regarding their popularity. Throw in their Spotify rankings as well, sold out tours, etc, this just shows what their "bread and butter" is this exact vibe (the same vibe KPop fans fell in love with when ITZY first debuted). I understand their popularity in Korea hasn't been great compared to the girl groups after them (IVE, Le Sserafim and the power house in New Jeans) but my take is the releases of "Sneakers" and "Boys Like You" for example had a negative affect on them especially in Korea. I understand, whether it's JYP, ITZY's Executive Leader and/or Production team wanted to try different sounds/concepts but it just didn't vibe and with that came the social hate spread by useless KPop fans. Whether it was MIDZYs or casual ITZY fans ended up moving on to different girl groups, that's fine but "Born To Be" FINALLY brought ITZY back to their roots and their strengths! When you hear or speak of ITZY, what comes to mind? Banger beats, extremely difficult choreography and transitions and their look! Was that lost during the "Sneakers" era? I would say yes and that is obviously debatable amongst MIDZYs and KPop fans alike. As for Lia, take all the time you need girl! You were definitely missed in this comeback ("Blossom" is amazing!) and upcoming tour but when you do comeback, I hope you comeback with a fury in the MV you first appear in! I don't really agree with your opinion, you say you don't like the bubbly pop side of Itzy but you like the song Dalla Dalla which is clearly a bubblegum sound (Icy, Sneaker, Cake etc). To say that Itzy is gone is not really true because they have always been there except that they have been awarded a wave of hatred in 2022. Their best album Kill My Dought, Checkmate and Born to Be in the top 3. The Born to Be album is a cross between Guess Who and Ringo (a Japanese album). The latest albums are more mature and of better quality than their old albums before 2021. Lia is on hiatus due to health problems, more specifically deep stress. If you miss her so much she also has a solo called Blossom which for me is the best sound on the album or her Ost (Blue Flower, Alway be your star, One hundred love (it's a range of her voice you might not know but it's worth it). )
I was confused when they said that. I think I watched them react to icy and they liked it. Which is very bubbly and fun. Idk I always love their music so I got very annoyed when they said old itzy is back cus they never left in my opinion. Idk people always hate their comebacks since the beginning then love it later like icy.
@@ItzShelly247 What makes Itzy different from other bands is that their songs aren't easy to listen to - you need to listen to them several times before you like them. Unlike other bands, which are easier to listen to because they're built to please everyone, so they're de facto industrialized and commercialized. I'd say that Itzy's discosgraphy is turned out like a Western artist. When you listen to a Western artist, it takes several listens because you don't like it at first, but then you appreciate it. The problem with people who listen to Kpop is that they don't bother to listen to a whole album and then listen to it again and again. What's important is that the music is appreciated from the very first moment. If this is the case, it's because the music is part of a mass consumption mechanism, and not because the music itself is appreciated.
