Harley Benton has a Reverb store now. They ship free in the US, from Connecticut.
I have a Harley Benton PJ - same finish and it is better than my MIM Fender PJ. Build quality alone is a noticeable advantage to HB over Fender at the lower end of their line.
MIM is so inconsistent, some I love and some I don’t.
How does that compare to the old Fender Squire. That was like the big breakout budget-priced, yet playable bass of about 20 years ago.

Shipping is a little high on Harley Bentons if you only order one guitar but if your order two the shipping is the same. The best way to buy HB guitars in the US is to buy two or more. Also Reverb is now the American retailer of HB guitars though the prices there are higher than on the Thomann website. Good instruments for low money

Ok I have a question and it doesn't relate to this.
I would love to move into the world of an 8 string bass. (Standard plus octave up)
What is the best budget 8 string bass out there? Or is there a way to accurately reproduce the sound of an 8 string without having to buy one?

I have the pj version and it suck ass, never seen pickup so shitty. I'm really not a pickup snob, but these are just completely un balanced. Also the neck finish and feel is bad, All around meh, better with a used Squier V or Ibanez.
Lol darn. Mine with the 1 pickup is a great back up bass!

@Tyler Ray Hughes yeah I was putting together an order and yeah shipping seems high but if ya get like 2 guitars and a bunch of extra smalls shipping balances out way better.

I find that lightweight bodies like basswood with maple necks are way too neck heavy and that drives me crazy.
This one is pretty good and balanced. Heavy in general though.
