- at twenty-seven years old, a light bulb finally went off and I realized that the root of a lot of my current feelings of sadness, stagnation and even sometimes uncertainty in the choices I make for myself all trace back to my childhood.
i'm totally ready to free seven year old me from carrying the weight of the world and my emotions on her shoulders. so, here's to the journey of doing the work and healing my relationships with my mom, stepmom and dad. i deserve a life where I can fully breathe easy. here is where it begins.

I have realized that my family has made me so anxious when being around them. Growing up I was teased and bullied, so as I got older I have set boundaries with them and realized I carried that resentment as an adult.
I find this to be true for some part of my family 😮💨🥴 I gotta work thru it
You have highlighted a piece of childhood for so many with this. People really underestimate the teasing/bullying by family members and how it impacts relationships going into adulthood- You simply do not desire to be around or limit your exposure to them.

At 42, I am very impressed at how introspective you are at 27. If only I could have been that in tuned with my emotions and how people/situations impacted my life at your age. I have an anxious attachment style as well. I struggle with codependency in relationships. I have been seen by a psychologist. I can see my improvement. Your vlogs are realistic and real. Love your channel

@@jae-annedanae4512 the most major tip was setting self-emotional boundaries for myself and fighting those needy urges. I had started creating some values and morals for myself and sticking to them which I had never done before. I can go on and on ☺️. I love talking about this lol
You introducing/making matcha for your family was so special. I love the opportunities we get to share pieces of our evolved selves with our family, especially those we rarely get to see. Something as simple as them watching you prepare your morning matcha made me a little teary eyed 🥺

Hellooo.. I am a new subscriber and this is the third video I watched from your channel today. I was like I feel connected to this sista and couldn't pinpoint the connection.... Untilll I saw this episode. I too am from Miami and live in Atlanta alone learning about myself. My daughter left home to go to college, I lost both of my parents recently, and had a bad break up. Through counseling I am learning that the grief/mourning is important to feel on your healing journey, and these things must be unpacked and explored.
