Ever thought you need a ton of followers to be super successful in selling stuff online? Well, I'm here to tell you that's not true at all! My adventure with selling on TikTok taught me something really cool: even if you're not super popular or famous, you can still crush the ecommerce game…on Tiktok Shops!
Imagine this: you post a video on TikTok, and boom! It could be the start of something awesome! You might not have had a large store before that….maybe you don’t have a recognizable brand name….or maybe you don’t have tons of money to throw at ads to send traffic to your store. NONE of that matters anymore. Tiktok shops has leveled the playing field between big brands and smaller sellers that want to enter the space.
All you need is a good product, entertaining product videos that showcase what the product does and how it helps customers….and some consistency!
Tiktok’s algorithm will do all the rest and it’ll handle the heavy lifting and the traffic FOR YOU. You’ll be able to build an audience in your niche and start driving sales pretty quickly. That’s the magic of this!
Titkok shops is THE BIGGEST opportunity in eCommerce right now. And I don’t say that lightly. I haven’t seen anything this easy since facebook marketplace launched a few years ago…and pretty much anything you listed would sell.
Of course, there are some things to understand that will make launching your shop and getting sales A LOT easier… so this is what I’ve found to work best currently…
1. Find a Hot In demand Product
Your product-audience fit is crucial…but the truth is you don’t need a large audience to get started. With the power of the for you page on tiktok, any one of your videos can blow up if it gets some momentum.
Therefore everyone should begin searching for hot products that will actually sell. I can tell you first hand I have a shop with a few products that sell over and over again.
BUT i DIDN’T start there. I had to find those products through trial and error originally.
The cool thing is that you actually don’t need to do that anymore though. New software is releasing almost daily that makes selling on tiktok shops easier.
One of those software programs is Kalodata. It’ll give you data on EVERYTHING that’s selling on tiktok shops currently and allow you to see what's trending in your niche. How many sales did it get? How recently? Who’s buying it?
You don’t need to reinvent the wheel when you’re starting. If something’s working for someone in your niche already….list something very similar to that….and test other products that are related. The path of least resistance is there.
2. List Your Products on Titkok Shop
Assuming you’ve already signed up for a shop, you want to list these hot products on your shop so you can then link them in the videos you post.
Don’t over think this. Just list them with the product pictures on the suppliers website (assuming they’re decent quality). For the title and the description, I would have chat gpt rewrite them to make them better. The title shouldn’t be too long (it should be short and to the point - explaining what the product is as quickly as possible). Remember, no one’s really search for your product so keyword stuffing doesn’t matter. People need to understand INSTANTLY when they see the title, what the product is (with 0 confusion).
For the description, I would list out 3-5 short bullet points explaining what problem the product solves and how it can help the customer. Don’t add too much text here…and don’t get cute. Simple to read and get the point across = effective.
It also goes without saying, but you want to mark your price up enough so that when you sell it, you can keep the difference as your profit.
3. Creating your videos to post to Titkok
Assuming you’ve linked your shop to your titkok page, now is the fun part - posting the videos.
Creating my own content for TikTok shops was great in the beginning b/c it was free and I could get videos up fast to test different products and niches.

What most of youtubers don't talk about and where most people fail is the fact that showcasing your product (ie making a good video about it) IS THE heavy lifting. Presenting your product is the only thing about ecommerce that is actually challenging, it's like trying to go viral with a video on youtube, it's just as hard. I'm not trying to demotivate anybody, I'm just saying that this is what you should be aware of:)

Either works fine. It’s up to you. I have one with my SSN as a sole proprietor and one with my business EIN

@@karmamach1509 No I wouldn't approach it that way. It'll come to your country eventually. You're better of trying to do tiktok shop affiliates from the US or UK. That way you're not tied to an account and you can still sell on tiktok shop in the future if/when it does.

Fiverr works too, but viralecomadz is definitely better. Truth is I am an affiliate for them, but it’s b/c I use them all the time and believe in them 👍

TikTok shop might not be your move then (if that’s your target buyer). I’d just do a normal TikTok page with a bio link and run TikTok ads to your products within those countries

Tiktok collects and remits it for you. Then sends you the tax form at the end of the year.

Hey love you’re video ! Very valuable. How do we sell this amount of volume if we don’t have a lot of initial capital because tiktok takes a lot of time to pay us back. Delivery time + 8 to 15 days that’s a lot of time so it’s hard to scale 😔. Any recommendations ?
Leverage credit cards if you need to in the beginning (assuming you're responsible). Or put your products out of stock if you need to until you recoup your ROI and then put them back in stock. As you sell, the payouts get faster.

Problem: I source from Amazon, but on many items TTS is requiring me to upload product compliance certificates, product safety documents, etc. How can I find these? I doubt reaching out to the sellers on Amazon will yield results. Is there another supplier's website that generally has these docs available for uploading, so I can match the same products I'm trying to sell from Amazon and use the other parties' documentation? (provided it's the exact same product). I've run into this issue with mini humidifiers, personal massagers, small space heaters, and even (non electrical) baby items. I've tried researching this online, but no results. I hope you can help me.
Might just be those specific categories. I’ve heard it happens with electronics and baby supplies a lot. You could reach out the the manufacturer (I’ve heard other people say they’ll give them to you)…or you could just move on to another product/category that doesn’t require them. Hope that helps!

So i started my shop linked with printful to do print on demand but idk how to get sales that way because i dont have the money to order the products so i wanna drop ship some products but i dont understand how to add drop ship products and fullfill them with it already linked to printful

It really depends on the product, the videos you post, and the product-audience fit. There’s no one size fits all answer unfortunately.

How many views should you get before deciding if the listing is not worth running ads on? I got about 1200 views on one of my listings but no clicks. Should I turn it off now. It’s been a few days.

so i chose a product and got a notification saying my request to promote the product has been approved and it says i can sell the product now…. so now what the heck do i do? 😅 i dont have the product i still have to purchase and receive it to try it. so is that my next step ? what does it mean saying that i can now sell the product? theres so much info for ttshop its confusing if youre brand new.. im not a seller with inventory of any product i just joined the affiliate program so i can review products and share links and get a commission. sooooo…. if it says im approved to sell said product what do i do next 😬😅 please 🙏
So yeah you're approved for that product to sell or be an affiliate for. If you're trying to dropship products on tiktok shop it's a different approach than if you're trying to be an affiliate. As an affiliate you should reach out to companies/pages and ask if they offer free samples so you can make videos to promote them to your audience. Some products even have a "request free sample" button you can hit. When you're brand new you can also get 2 free products off shop (most people can not all) and you can start with those. Or worst case scenario you can order the products you add to your showcase off amazon (if you can find them - often you can) and make tons of videos promoting them and linking them...then just return the product within 30 days to amazon. Hope that helps!

@@rebecca2611 yeah some of them want to talk via email and some want to talk via whatsapp (instead of the tiktok app). If you're not comforable with that then just avoid those products/brands
