Why are so many of you so disrespectful of Lisa, you know nothing for her life, I am glad to see them back playing together, one day you will grow old and have health problems, grow up and if you can't say positive supportive words then keep silence, this music will go on long after we are all departed, thank you Dead Can Dance for wonderful inspiring, otherworldly musics, Love and Peace ☯☮♥
Well said!
Humans are curious creatures Leslie and seeing Lisa SO DIFFERENT and BLOATED might concern people.
Who said anything about being disrespectful?
As an avid supporter of DCD I take offence at your silly comment. Again, the nature of people today trying to SILENCE others if they have a different opinion.
Lisa's voice is superb here, and to be honest, when I first saw her walk onto the stage I gasped.
So I am hoping all is well with Lisa.
Geez...we can't even express opinions anymore. Well you ain't stopping me from expressing mine that's for sure.
@@Skiptondesigns fine you've expressed yours and I've expressed mine, we all love the music whatever.....
@@Skiptondesigns you said it yourself: her voice is superb here. everything else is her private business you git.
@@Skiptondesigns also stop whining about not being allowed an opinion. it's very telling of you to say that, because considerate and thoughtful people do not share your experience. if you're so concerned about Lisa's health go ask google for news before you consider making this comment section go off topic with an issue which you very damn well know turns toxic instantly (at least since the greedy tech industry made the internet available for every last little derp out there). use your brain and show a bit of responsibility. and don't defend the bodyshamers because you can't own up to your own mishap. that's just disgusting.
I went to Dead Can Dance in Salt Lake City at Red Butte Gardens. It was magical. This was in 2013. Good things come to those who wait
This is beautiful to me. I love seeing my favorite musicians doing life along with me and being resilient. 🙏🏼
She looks like a queen, because she is a queen. I have listen to these two for the past 25 years and never ever get bored of them. I love them so much.
"She looks like a queen, because she is a queen" #ytmostidioticcomments
She a fatty too.
@@svfantom7776 Oh do shut up. She's had an incredible career for 40 years and all you do is pick on her weight.... very sad indeed.
Same here, geezer!
@@svfantom7776 and so what? Shame on you !
Now that they have canceled the current tour, and possibly forever, this is my only access to experience DCD in concert. Thank you so much for sharing.
Lisa is a Goddess! Who cares how much she weighs. I love her endlessly young, old, thin, and thick. I am forever in their debt for what their music has brought me over the many years of listening and following..........................XOXO
Everyone cares. This is some serious mental illness.
I care! mainly because her performance has deteriorated immensely.
You two misunderstood my comment. Carry on...
Xoxo😂😂😂😂
Dan-you don’t know her and don’t know what has caused the weight gain-there are many health conditions and medications that can cause this, most commonly corticosteroids- that is what caused Cocteau Robin to gain weight-asthma medication.
Maor- the human voice UNFORTUNATELY ages just like everything else, especially the female voice. Lisa and Brendan wrote and recorded this music over 35 YEARS ago, meaning if she was 25 then, she is 60 now. It is ridiculous to think that their voices will not have weakened and lost some range. That’s why I won’t go see Elizabeth Fraser live with Massive Attack this year, I want to remember her voice like it was, not like it is.
Im 54, and i have listening to this musical quasi mystical wonder since their beginnings in 1980, and never stopped ever since. This is my most beloved band. A true treasure
me to!
me too
I ❤ your music. I've been listening to it since the mid 90's. I also love working out to your music. You filled an emptiness in my heart and in my soul. I hope to see you perform one day. I'm now 65 yrs old and am sure I will still be listening to you when I'm in my 80's. Thank you for your hard work and devotion.
Hear 2007 dead can dance first when I left Home and Family been falling deep down the Sound of the Song Yulunga reaches my heart and is like a Angels sing for me 5:11
When you're feeling dead inside, you can get up and dance; because music brings you alive. Yes the dead can dance.
Super! This is exactly what I feel
perfectly said...
The best music band ever and forever! I have been listening to them for 30 years, and I still have shivers each time ❤️❤️❤️
They reached my soul. Once I`ve been waiting for the bus at the bus stop standing in the rain listening to "Hymn for fallen" over and over. I`ve let a few buses pass. I couldn`t move, it was one of the most beautiful moments in my life. I cried with beauty and the world cried with me. I bear a lifelong gratitude for this and many other moments like this for DCD. Thank you
Their music transports you to different times and places. They are wonderful and unique.
Dead Can Dance...Lisa Gerard and Brendon Perry have created an ethereal music that is not of this world, and that speaks to our deepest primordial emotions.Spiritual, transcendental, and very personal to each of us.They and their music are still beautiful after all these years.
simply one of the greatest bands ever performed music on this planet
Agreed
How posible this band doesn't have the properly recognition? So less views? This one of the best and original / talented bands of human existence. I want justice with this band 🙏🌠🎶🎵🎩🖤🔥
@@khold7560 because the wolrd had aa horrible taste to art and music. bad music is sucess, perfect art like dead can dance is reserved to people who searching for it. Never be in surface, never stay in hype or mainstream.
the best music is out of common sense.
dead can dance is the most awesome art in music form, nothing changes it.
@@Gradebanger this is one band that you just don’t stumble upon by accident. It’s beautiful, it’s elevated but not easy to get in. That’s a well hidden treasure and let’s keep it that way...
Agreed! I used to see them in concert quite a bit back in the nineties and they had giant crowds completely stunned into silence.
It was very captivating. They’re coming around again after 2019 and my mom is asking me to take her. I have no doubt they’ll be wonderful again!! She started listening to them in 1980, I was a little shit but recall being mesmerized by them on our road trips and at home when she’d be cleaning the house. In high school I played them at home on the record player for my friends who all lost their shit, and then they toured and into the labyrinth came out, then toward the within, then spirit chaser and they were all over the US so we just kept going and they kept inviting us so why not?? It was a nice summer, friends were touring with the Dead and so was I, and I saw the Dead a few times but preferred this sort of Dead tour.
I met them and hung out with them a couple times too, thoroughly decent.
Lisa does not do anything but go to rest after concerts. She’s extremely tiny and she would glide into a waiting car with a simple smile, wave, nod and thank you, and be gone. I was told absolutely zero “fun” with her, as in no partying. She truly sees her body as her instrument and from what I heard/saw she takes her voice very seriously. Brendan wasn’t wild either, it was the guys in the band and their crew that had all the fun 😂
Brendan hung though, a beer, a smoke, but nothing WILD. They were all pretty civilized to be honest. Also, extremely KIND. Hearing them for decades has instilled a beautiful continuity and faith in beautiful music.
They may not be that famous in the US, but those who know, know. They always sell out shows, they’re recognized.
It’s just not by the crowds who smear music around without any appreciation.
TikTok-ers who don’t even know what they’re listening to.
Lisa, sounds amazing live, which many singers fail.....plus she is older and still has a very powerful voice! Beautiful!
As one who was always alone, I first came across Dead Can Dance in the 1990s on a radio program called Echos. I was still in high school and I remember Lisa’s ethereal voice like incense rising to an unknown place I’d never traveled. Life has taught me that no matter how you look, who you are, what you’ve done or what you have not yet done, we are not alone. Lisa made me feel like I was still needed by someone. Music is the voiceless soul made audible and Lisa is eternal, beautiful and so much what the world needs to feel! Thank you Lisa!
This concert has taken me a quarter of a century back to when, as a young adult, I was finishing my universitary degree: I enjoyed an hour from 6 to 7 a.m. in the gardens, in a hidden covered square listening to this same music. Like Ulysses in an odyssey of self-discovery, what I have subsequently lived has brought me to this path, to rediscover the meaning of what I was hearing then and now I return to enjoy with the full understanding of what I felt so many years ago. They never stopped accompanying me, but they goes and comes back, like every wave, vibrates at the right moments and every time I listen, it causes me the great emotions that I receive from each rythm, frome each melody, from each drum, from each string, from each voice, from each song, different for each one of them. I am very grateful to Lisa and Brendan for all that they have given for so many years and that they continue to do so. I still wish to be at a live concert. Thank you thank you thank you.
Here in 2019. 50 years old. I hope this is what heaven sounds like.

Having stumbled upon this video I'm filled with emotions. First I am filled with nostalgia as I grew up listening to DCD in my teens and lived through teenage love with them by my side. Second I'm filled with sadness for those who seem to believe that there is merit in age, weight, appearance over voice and beauty. It has been said in the comments already and I'd like to say it again... close your eyes, open your ears and listen. Every note, every sound, every individual in this performance is exactly who I and so many of you have been listening to for many many years. All you need to do is close your eyes and open your ears. However IMHO I have no need to close my eyes and frankly chose not to because each and every image of each and every person in this video is beauty to my eyes and bliss to my ears.
Yesss yes yes to this comment.. I'm 29 and found them when I was 19 I feel I have much older soul and this music and Lisa's voice really help me on my life journey x
Thanks brother Francois

sheer ignorance.... in the face of beauty
Respect! You perfectly described it.
💖🙏💞🔆⭐️
Why are the looks so important to some people? The fact is we grow old and change, our love, humanity and artistic skills can remain the same (or often improve). If Lisa was selling herself as a size 12 super model you could say she was past it but as a singer you have no reason to judge. She has the same amazing voice that I want to hear in my final hours on earth.
Old age rarely comes alone and those nasty comments may come back to haunt you. Anyway she still looks great to me.
Weight gain has many reasons, all the shallow disrespectful remarks are more of a statement on your own personality than someone you have never met or understand.
Well said.
small minds only read the book cover.
DCD is completely and utterly transcendent. Their music can't be placed inside any particular genre. They are completely unique. I do large sound baths in my backyard upcountry Maui, and always, before the sound bath while guests are arriving I play DCD. It puts me into a trance that helps me perform the bath. It never fails, many of the guests ask me who that was that I was playing. Every time I play DCD to people who have not heard them they fall in love and become a fan. Lisa is the Goddess of the Universe.
Are you serious? Do you really think that Lisa's voice got worse? We don't know which kind of health issues has she been dealing with, but just listen to Yulunga, The Host of Seraphim, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, Sanvean and Avatar... Her voiceis superb! We won't get the same strenght as in the nineties because time goes on, yes, but I was in this concert in Lisbon, and Lisa's efforts were laudable!
she sounds perfect !
Sounds amazing ! Her voice has not aged!
Hey Man I only saw them in London in 2005, and my brother & I noticed that at this gig, DK about the rest of the tour the shadows of two girls dancing behind the stage & thought had to be the daughters of something ne on stage right? Then I see this gig and a young singer is backing Lisa on various songs, so coincidence or what? Did nobody who was in the audience at the time think along the same lines, because DCD unlike some other bands never introduce their onstage musicians!
Liza Gerald i Brendan Perry to karaoke farmazon .
Your music is so beautiful that I really touched infinity with my fingertips. Thank you.
They are so freaking timeless and endless~ love them always
What a pleasure to hear Lisa's ethereal voice. She is an angel. A priestess of the new ages. Brendan and his beautiful velvet voice. This adventure that they share with us, the power is intact, like a parenthesis in another world or a stay among the Elves ! Now at its most mystical and timeless heights. Love to all of you.
Fabulous and fascinating band ...! And their voices didn't change at all ... So bewitching. I've always loved them since 1986 ...
To all young people who think your physical appearance will not radically change think again, look around, and appreciate the forever changes to come.
Well said, plus she is pushing 60 and might have health problems. And who cares about the body....it's the voice for which we like a singer.... if somebody doesn't like a singer for its appearance that person is a moron.
This world made by a demigod, we age and die.
@Anna annanymous I hope you live long enough to eat those words. I have. It is naiive to think you will be in control always.
Aum... Well spoken. Dear young souls

I was lucky enough to be there! Hard to put into words the amount of admiration and respect for these people.
I was first introduced to this band in the mid 90's by an old girlfriend. I recall stopping by her apartment to pick her up for our first date and could see her dancing through the window. She was listening to spiritchaser and moving in a hypnotic , trancelike movement. I was momentarily captivated and just stood and watched. After some laughs she had me listen to the song and I was blown away and instantly a fan. I am truly grateful that she introduced me to such an amazing band and I enjoy them to this very day.
I'll never forget where I was when I was introduced to DCD. Summer vacation 1991 down in the OBX at a record store called Rock-A-Day Johnny's. He heard two high school blokes talking about The Cure, Pink Floyd, Enigma, being in bands, drumline, etc, and asked us if we'd ever heard DCD. I'd heard OF them once. He put on The Host of Serephim. We left with the A Passage in Time CD.
AND he took down the Enigma MCMXC record sized cardboard poster he saw me eyeballin' right off the wall and gifted it to me. Great day.
What was your first tyme?
One upon a time in a foreign country a boyfriend introduced me to Spiritchaser. Been in love with DCD and Lisa Gerrard ever since. Boyfriend is gone, music is forever, endless and a spiritual experience. ;)
Gosto, gosto, gosto!!!!
Who is here in quarantine 2020?
That smile at 1:12:34 right after host of seraphim
Thank you so much
WOW she sounds so good on Avatar! I’ve fallen back in love with that song!
Absolutely fabulous. It's a real pleasure to hear those two voices coming from heaven.
They BOTH have such beautifully haunting voices...I am so glad that I got to see them live back around 2005. I took my Grandma, and we were both in awe.
Hey sister! Much love from australia and happiness and respect for you going to dcd with your grandmama = beautiful!
What terrific memories you hold, from the music to the beings who are sharing their heart and truth through sound
Looking over at your elder and smiling. Crying i'm sure at times?
I went in 07 or 08 to see lisa solo with my mum and closest friend
Wow!!! Such powerful memories that bring me great daydreaming content!
The 3 of us cried through the whole gig, holding hands. Singing. Mmmmm, very potent and forever ours
Take care wherever you are in this brilliant universe and make sure you're being kind to your self :D

Dead Can Dance é minha religião ❤ transcende a alma
I have enjoyed DCD and especially Lisa's voice for many years. I am not a fanboy so haven't kept current on their various travels and challenges so I was a bit shocked to see the change in Lisa's appearance from the last video of theirs that I had watched....until I realized that I too have "bulked" up a bit in my retirement and also look older than I did 10-15 years ago. Humans age, even goddesses with ethereal and eternally beautiful voices and souls.
Absolute magic! Dead Can Dance is one of my most favorite bands in the world! So beautiful, powerful! DCD forever!!!!!!!!!
'Yulunga' is a great and very deep travel in a transcendental land of the labyrinthic dreams!
The voice of Lisa is fantastic and surnatural!
This is super accurate :) I believe this to be very true.. Thank you xo

They are gods, Lissa is amazing yesterday, today, and forever. And Brendan, what can a say about him, I´m a simple man, like human I can't say something. But he's from anywhere out of this world.
Ist's Magic!
My First Concert from Dead can Dance was in the "Loft Club" in Berlin.
I live in Berlin since 54 Years.
Bring tears in my eyes for seeing they playing "Mesmerism" for the first time!
One of their best songs.
Easily the greatest female vocalist in this genre of popular music that I associate her with, emerging out of the talent rich British second wave of eighties bands and there's a case to be made for her being the most gifted, compelling,spell-binding female vocalist outside the confines of opera, ever.
Dead Can Dance has inspired me in so many ways and helped facilitate many remembrances as I awaken to who and what I am and what I am not. The following thought form flowed through me in the dark of the night. Discern the messages in this Haiku through intellectual, psychological, philosophical and spiritual means and know me intimately…
Anastasis- Haiku ~~~chaos in motion~~~conjured up from dark abyss~~~and the dead can dance
Sanvean-still giving me chills twenty years later! Wonderful job. Thank you Lisa, Brendan, and the rest of the band for all the beautiful music you’ve given us!
more than chills
Always take out tears when I hear this song

The Host of Seraphim phenomenal, as usually. All the best, Lisa, Brendan & the Group.
DCD sempre.
December 2020.
I saw Dead Can Dance live twice in London in the 1990s. Probably the best band live I have ever seen. Their first 6 albums are among the most unique and important ones of the 20th century.

So glad playing the old classics like Avatar, Lisa seems to really enjoy it too...!
One of the best greatest bands!!! I had the honor of listening to them in Buenos Aires. It was an unforgettable night
The host of Seraphim is one of the greatest compositions ever... Like Michael Nyman's "Time lapse". Sadness of all this ... world.
I am amazed! I heard her in lives around 4 years ago, and i was worried about her voice and her, but now i hear this recent performance, and the voice stills amazing! Even when the years come and of course her voice changes, she will be always always be amazing and deserve all the respect.
I don't care how far I have to travel. I will see DCD live.
Same!!!!!
Did it a few years ago in Philadelphia! You must if you are a fan.
I had the privilege, and it was like a spiritual experience, unforgettable
Good luck ! Always a certain degree of elitist bs involving this band for the last , at least , 30 years , which makes it somewhat tricky to grab hold of a ticket .
I have seen most bands I enjoy live. When it´s DcD , the event is invariably " Sold out " almost next day the tickets are put on sale .
I can't believe anyone would even make such horrible comments about Lisa and her Weight... We're but merr energy is a vessel made of flesh, we all change as we grow older.. Lisas soul is from another angelic dimension and her voice and DCDs music heal anyone who has the pleasure of listening!! Maybe stop being so fickle and move on!! So happy to see they are back playing together, I sadly missed them in Ireland last year and it broke my heart I really really hope I see them live and in the flesh some day... Have a lovely day xo
Wow. Oh, I'm so ashamed, I'm just now discovering this... I'm at a loss for words, but my goosebumps had tingles on them.
It’s never too late! You will now realise the endless wealth of true art, the true love for the creation of music, poetry, beauty, emotions. Dead Can Dance has been all that for the last 27 years for me now. Welcome to this huge minority of devouts.
I'm listening to them with the same passion now as I used to listen to them when I was very young. I know how my emotions travel every time I feel this music with all my senses. Stay forever!
I have seldom been touched as deeply as now. I am humbled, honored, and blessed by the tongues of Angels. We are not bound to indifference, l assure you.
I was there (@Tribuna 1) and couldn't see sh*t. And now I'm there again... seeing all I missed! Huge THX.
Never fail to give me goosebumps. When music does that, then it’s so bloody good. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a lovely performance I love Dead Can Dance I'm so happy to see them together 🖤
I am in tears! Omg her Angelic voice pierces my soul. I love DCD and Lisa and Brendan
Never exposed to this music before. Now I'm an excited new fan. Thanks for all the joy to come.
Get ready for a decade(s) old engagement ...
Obrigado

I love Dead Can Dance. They've been with me for 38 years and I'm 44. Going to see them Oct. 2021, Denver. Bringing my grown children this time.
Oh my god, lissa is forever, brendan is incredible, dcd forever, forever, forever.
One of the greatest female voices in time...., and her band mates are top as well ! And although I did not read all the comments, it seems nobody mentioned Klaus Schulze and the work she performed with him. Do it, yet another discovery !
I actually got introduced to her through the works of Klaus Schulze, I think it was the Farscape record. She's amazing! One of the most unique voices out there.
Thank you so much Dead can Dance
I saw them live in Dallas in 1996 and I constantly got chills. They were so awesome live. I appreciate this video as well because it has so many of their older songs. Thanks for posting.
Very good live Dead can Dance.Fan.
And...She can still sing like in the early days...Great artists, Lisa and Brendan...They changed my life!..I shall never forget them...Thank you for you're deep meaningfull songs!
When I met my wife back in the days( 1999)...I gave here a cassette with the songs of "Death can dance" that I thougt where the best I heard( I mixed them together on that 1 and only cassette as a big, very big music-lover)...And said to her...Listen to this music please (She worked as a courier and was always on the road with her car)...A week later...I was very pleased to hear from here that this music was for her, absolutely fabulous...She was shocked!... She NEVER heard such music in here life...She loved it...And...That was my "test" as a guy to her for gowing further with this relation...If she had said that she had misliked this music...I definitiv had dumped here...So, from that day we stayed together as a lovingfull couple...We are now almost 22 years together...And love talking to each other...I love here so much and..."Dead Can Dance" was the "test" for me to have a "meaningfull" girl and life.
