There’s plenty of videos out there on how to DSLR scan negatives on your own, many of them use pretty beefy equipment or some of the best holders… I really like your effort on creating this video, not only the editing but the video making, those changes in perspective look really good for the user, but for you making it it’s more work than leaving the camera on the same spot, so really appreciate your time on making the video more dynamic. Also really like how this feels like a real DIY but with awesome results, as seen from the video. Keep it up man, loving the photos that came out!!

Any tips with scanning 120 film with a crop sensor?

It really doesn't make much difference if you're scanning on crop sensor or full frame. The same principles apply. Scan at the lowest possible ISO and try to scan at f/8 with auto white balance. You should be pleased with the result. A nice addition has been scanning with my new Fujifilm X-T5. The 40 MP sensor makes the scans even that much more versatile.

How are you connecting the monopod to the base?

I found a 3/8 bolt that mounts directly to the monopod base. I custom cut a spot in the base to give me the proper length to hold the monopod to the base. It hold very well. I’m pleased with it. Might do a detailed video on how to build your own copy stand soon!
