Trouble is with Chansiri is that because of the money he has put in (and to be fair to him he has put in a lot) he feels like we are not respecting him and being ungrateful to him, so he spits his dummy out, makes these statements and threats to us fans and he seemingly doesnt think he is doing anything wrong.
What gets my gripe up is that he thinks he doesnt need advice, thinks that those that try and help him/advise him are disrespecting him and thus ignores them, like when we has Katrien Meirhe (I think its spelt like that) was our CEO, she only lasted a few month's...and I wonder why.
Chansiri needs to grow up, accept he cannot run a club and sell up coz now the damage between him and the fans is so catastrophic and beyond repair, I cannot see any reason why he should continue.

I respect Simon, he's usually bang on with a lot of things but he's wide of the mark here. Wednesday fans have cut chansiri a lot of slack, after all many bought multi year season tickets to put additional funds into the club. We've done our bit, I'd rather have an owner who put far less money in but ran it properly, we never sell players, always sign ageing players on their last big contract. Chansiri sold the ground to himself so we now pay rent, his tenure has been a disaster. Only one person to blame for this mess and that is him, Simon cuts him far too much slack and why would we fill Hillsborough every week when we are bottom of the bl00dy league paying the highest prices in the division. We still have crowds that most teams outside of the prem envy. Stop the blackmail Chansiri and sell up.

You are so correct! In the old days if you got into Div 1 and had a decent team you could do OK. Now if you get promoted you are in a league of about six clubs the three that came up and the three lowest incumbents. To survive there is very very hard. The Championship is a way better league for the ordinary fan. On a given day any team can beat any other, and newcomers can thrive. The relegated Premier clubs however do have a financial advantage over the others which gives them a bit better chance to go back up. So as you said money is destroying the game we used to know.

We are grateful for the money Chansiri has put into the club as no owner previously has done. However if you’d have told us the result would’ve been EFL sanctions, points deductions, relegation and not owning our stadium… I’d have said no thank you. We have no CEO, COO, COF or directors, it’s all micro managed by Chansiri and his special advisors that nobody knows about. Chansiri asks the fans to think of ideas to bring in revenue and in general what the fans want, we’ll tell him to bring in knowledgable football people but he refuses to listen and says he doesn’t need them. Then when things go wrong he doesn’t want any of the blame and instead tells fans “what have you ever done for this club” a very very small minority of fans have acted negatively towards him and told him to sell the club. Rather than understanding it’s a small minority he’s gone against the entire fan base, saying we do nothing for the club despite filling every away end, paying high ticket and merchandise prices. Despite the decisions he made a lot of the fan base were still supporting him but with the recent threat of pulling funding and today’s release of telling the fans to raise 2 million quid, that support has well and truly gone. He has now paid all the staffs wages despite this mornings outburst that the fans had to raise money to pay them, however the HMRC debt is still unclear whether this has been paid. For the people who say we don’t support our club, we are bottom of the championship, we hadn’t scored a goal in 11 hours, no wins in 13 but 26,000 people turned up to watch the blue & white stripes.

Very well said, and to add to it, the times when we had anything like a CEO or COO, with Katrien Meire and Liam Dooley, coinciding with Chansiri taking a step back, those were the times when we most looked like a decent sensible club. But both times it didn't take long for Chansiri to chase them out of the club, and so we fell back into chaos.

I think Simon should read into it alot more than his suggestion that its a challenge to sceptical supporters.
If he wasn't being serious about it then the factual other side of his statement was that whoever put money to it will get it back with considerable interest on top.
That isn't someone that's having a dig and regardless off his families worth that's over in Thailand and who knows what's accessible. Given playing with the clubs future and the hmrc if he had the finances to back it up eventually surely he would be able to get a business loan or investment to cover for a period of time?
Another case of a foreign owner with no idea of football club ownership or what it means to a long line of supporters.

It goes hand in hand with the job of being an owner of a football club.
Sheffield Wednesday supporters are not demanding much from the ownership of the club other than the club having a good financial instratucture that keeps the club going over and watching good football. It's not a lot they are asking for.

Wednesday are the worst run club in the football league. Hes been in this situation before only a couple years ago! We got deducted points and got relegated. If he has such a sound reputation financially. And he hates us telling him how to use his money. Why are we in this situation again?!
Simon talks about a healthy contribution and balance from the fans. We are bottom of the league! Spent no money on transfers. Yet we are the second most expensive ticket in the division!
He also increased the price of shirts by £15 each. And despite all of this the capacity still makes 25 thousand to 30 thousand a week!
And now he has the nerve to suggest us paying his debt. Just because he got caught out yet again and hes throwing his toys out the pram?!
How much more do we have to contribute?! I'd rather us lose everything, and be relegated to national league, than give this man our money to just lose again! Whether he means this or not, its shameful to even suggest it!

The reality is that the penny has dropped for this man and now he doesn't like it. He has wasted an obscene amount of his families money due to his clear lack of football knowledge and the business acumen required to run a football club. He has isolated himself and delegates or takes advice from no one. He personally deserves all he gets but once again it is this great football club and its followers he has clearly damaged. This club is at risk in this man's hands. True Sheffield Wednesday fans will tell you this. The stadium is a mess in comparison to modern stadia in this country, the training ground is woefully inadequate, the academy has produced nothing for a generation. OK these issues may not be the current owners overall fault but he has owned the club for 9 years now. Basically achieving nothing. But perhaps never has the future of this club been more at risk than right now. Rules are rules. This man has broken many in his tenure as owner. Sheffield Wednesday fans are realists. They just want club to be proud of. Certainly not a club in its current state.

      FF 4

      Matias (forgot him) 3
      Van Aken 3m

Foreign owner-> overpays on League One wages to get out of the league -> Owner realises the squad he overpaid for is useless in the championship & hasn't been been built for sustained progression -> Owner can't be arsed anymore & doesn't want to know -> Then all the administration & potential point deductions/staff wages come into play due to the neglect of the owner->Repeat. These dodgy owners are overspending getting a L1 promotion in a fast food way then bailing when they find out it wasn't a natural building progress that can be competitive in the Championship. Wigan did it the year before when their owner paid stupid money to buy promotion out of L1 only to go to pieces, come straight back down & find themselves in a worse position that they where before they even went up to the champ it caused more damage getting promoted than it would staying down doing it the right way. Sheff Wed's aren't as bad as them but the owner did fund some big signing for L1 when they managed to lure Michael Smith & Iheikwe from Rotherham who they'd literally just got promoted with to drop back down immediately on presumable big money.

As a Sheffield United fan, I think I speak for most when I say we were delighted when Chansiri came in and started his childish and narcissistic games. Wednesday fans ignored that side of him because although he was plastering his own name all over the stadium, spending irresponsibly, sponsoring himself with fake companies, they were getting some “big name” players in and being promised success. Didn’t hear Wednesday fans complaining then, so in that sense I can half understand Simon’s point. We could all see what was happening, we could all see how dodgy the guy was from the start, but football fans are fickle. When it’s going our way, we’re happy. When it all goes wrong, we switch very fast.

I do get Chansiri's frustration with the situation, no one likes criticism and we all react strongly to it. But considering these are the results he's getting after spending 150 million... what difference would those 2 million do? I mean sure, he put money in the club, but then proceeded to waste it on God knows what. So why would fans even consider his idea? I mean, he's trying to make a point, but at the same time the point isn't really landing. If he were better at managing the club, then yes, he would have a point, but giving him money at this stage seems like throwing money away. I think Wednesday fans would be more open to giving 100 GBP each IF they knew that money would be put to good use. I think Chansiri's in a no-win situation, whatever he does. He and the fans are all losing from this conflictual approach and he should just accept it is what it is and just sell the club to cut his losses, because doing what he's been doing until this point just causes more damage to everyone.

However, we fans have stood with him when he told us if we want to compete we need to pay higher prices, season tickets are high, shirts and other things are £65, food is awful in ground but very over priced, and the season ticket early bird prices are getting earlier and earlier every season.
