@@da_bimma so far I haven’t seen a gt4 without bumper to know lol. idk how visible the ac lines are with this bumper do they bother you or are they hard to notice in there?
@@handyishrandyish334 honestly the only thing that bothers me is the crash bar foam. I’m going to paint it black so it’s less eye catching, the lines don’t really bother me
The vertical side pieces that you held in place with two screws and 3M tape… on the back side there are two tabs that come through the bumper.. you use the same silver press clips that are used on the three front vents to hold these side pieces in place ;)
Just about to finish the install on mine aha. We both had the exact same complaints regarding the clips, and some fitment issues. However all came together. Crazy timing
Due to a tree falling on the road in front of me via very high winds, I'm replacing my front bumper. This work is being done by the only Porsche certified collision repair shop in my area, and only using OEM Porsche parts (paid extra on my insurance premiums for this). I'm considering going back with the GT4 front end rather than the standard 2015 Boxster S bumper assembly. I have two questions. 1) Have any of you guys done this mod? 2) Did you have any problems with the 981 fenders matching at the place where the two touch? 3) Does the GT4 front spoiler create more of a clearance issue with sidewalk driveway cuts and such than the standard? I do already have the lower X73 Porsche Sport Suspension, which at times scrapes stuff if I'm not careful.
It does hang lower and the fitment isn’t like oem unless you buy a oem gt4 bumper but the one I purchased fit pretty nice. I ran h&r lowering springs and I drove around fine just don’t park close to the curb.
Those black skinny brackets you didnt use go under the day time running lights. Does the smile vent screw into the bumper or is it just held by the 3m tape?
@@da_bimma 996 have been slowly rising in value. I feel like they will appreciate as different chassis fall into the analog category. 997 is also going to be expensive in the future if I had to bet.
Looks great.... I ordered mine..can't wait.. great job..
Great video! Very detailed in each step! You critiqued yourself by saying the video was too long but I think it was perfect! Great job!
The gt4 bumper looks so good! I’ll definitely get mine
You had to get those DRLs running for the video
I got them eventually I had to fix one of the connectors
That looks wonderful bro . Good job
Hella glad someone posted the install before I blindly went in on mine thanks for the vid!
Hell yeah dude let me know if you’d like to see anything else
Only thing I worry about on mine do the actual gt4’s have ducting on the smile vent so ac lines don’t show? I feel like seeing them might bother me
Well let me know if there’s a difference I’m curious!

Yeah dude I was thinking that it wasn’t going to fit at all!
Them clips go on the other direction though so the metal bites the plastic
Holy shit!!!!!! Making big moves bruv!!!

@@da_bimma thanks. I am using all Porsche OEM parts.
WOW!!!, bro?? The SIDE VENTS????????????
I made a video but one flew off, so back to the drawing board 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@da_bimma 🤣🤣😱😱✌👍
Looks great 😊 I still have the itch to part with my E92 M3 for a 981S
I went from the E89 Z4 to a 981s , best thing I have ever done!! Highly recommend
@@DwGamiing that's cool! I want one so bad right now. Debating even getting a 981 base and keeping the M3 too. Decisions decisions!
Hi! Can you please let me know what are the part number of the adapters for the fog lights?
They came with the kit off of ecs tuning
Bumper looks good but the car doesn't pull it off without looking more aggressive all round. Need to keep going now 👍
Yeah for sure, I’m going to lower it, get new wheels and a gt4 spoiler
Still got this bro? Looking at a 981 s in a few months but looking to do a full gt4 body conversion. Have you gone farther than here?
Looks soo good!
Thanks dude!
Those black skinny brackets you didnt use go under the day time running lights. Does the smile vent screw into the bumper or is it just held by the 3m tape?
Shit thanks!! 😂 and yeah I used my own 3m and it actually fits super snug I wouldn’t worry about it falling out
Did you need an adapter to switch from the round fogs to the DRL’s?
It came with the kit
Hello.. where did you buy the bumper. You put nothing about this in the description
Ecs tuning
Hey matt looking to buy the same bumper, how long did it take for it to arrive?
I want to say less than 2 weeks it’s a huge box
Any tips on installing the front lip ? it is literally the hardest part. not going into place.
I started in the middle and pulled it tight around the side of the bumper
Can i get the link where do you get the front bumper from. Thx
Ecstuning.com
Where’d you get the intake ducts for gt4?
Came with the kit!
Are the new led fog lights a direct pnp swap?
Yes
😍😍😍😍😍
Link to the kit bro?
Are you going to add a 911 to your stable?
Maybe a 996 turbo 🤔

I do have a question though, what year is the car, and how much did you pay for it? With what mileage?
It is a 2014 I bought it almost 2 years ago for $50,000 with 49,999 miles on it it came with a 5 year warranty
