It isn't just still pay to win, it's MORE pay to win than before because they made people have to use 2 more legendary gems.

Well, yes and no.
If you just want to experience the whole story and world up until Hell 6 or even 8, you don’t need to spend money.
You can spend a bit like the Prodigy’s Path or battle pass or boon of plenty but you really don’t need it.
If you wanna do PvP however, like he said, the legendary gems are it.
Yes it’s pay to win, trust me if you don’t spend money, you’ll feel like a useless bug, compared to those that might have spent $500 (which is NOTHING) you need a minimum of $1,000 to feel like you’re doing something, there are players that have spent $7,000 - $50,000. It’s depressing honestly
The current problem is different to the original. NOW, it's much harder for newer players to grind up their CR without paying, in order to farm Inferno. Which will become more apparent in Infero 2 and 3. Bliz needs to fix it quick before they seal off the pipeline, which keeps the game population flush.
Anyone who says wild brawl isnt p2w is delusional. Theres no suprise every match its always big wings at the end and yea resonance or w.e doesnt matter but gems do. Ur not going to find any f2p fully kitted with 5 star gems. Not only that but them also being 5/5. So even stronger than other f2p who have 5 stars.
You're are absolutely right to a point. Our whole life is p2w. Therefore, time is money. And one of the most valued part of this game is to see the development of your character. But as time progresses, you simply as f2p can't spend that much time grinding only to see very little character change. In the end you can logg in to kill time but not much else.
Well, as a matter of fact, it is. Unless you pay, you won't be able to unlock high level content unless you keep on grinding for some years. Resources needed are way too high to improve your character not to mention your gems which you need for resonance.
Do you know based on some stats that been published around 60% players f2p/ p2w resch 21k cr the remaining 40% has not yet has the enough cr to do full inferno 1 hellquerey while they are at 900 paragon which makes them unlock inferno 2 but not have the enough cr to farm it... current State of game is (not bad but ok) its far from being a W thou. Recently joined / come back players / casuals .. will have very difficult and long time till they can catch up in cr. The only thing they can catch up to is paragon lvls due to the inflated xp bonuses other wise they would struggle and consume lots of time grinding to catch up in paragon lvls as well.
I'm not talking about myself here, my friends are thinking to quit cuz they are 900+ but below cr for inferno 1 and they feel like a burden everytime hellquerey Raids come up so I can help then out. And solotuin could be making materials little more interesting to obtain. Running in circles kills mobs like sheep's is outdated and boring mechanic to aquire materials. Cuz they are 20k so if they got more materials to upgrade their gear they will hit the 20.9k cr mark for raids Sorry for the rant its just making me feel sad to see some friends quiting/ consider to quit due to struggle in gaining cr. I just thought you might address in future videos about the obtaining materials mechanics that needs to be improved at some point. Thanks for your content.
100% PAY 2 WIN or play casual and don't pay anything at all but life would be boring. This is like eating a food without proper ingredients.
Regarding to the Immortals daily dungeons, you can solo them too. And, if you want, you can complete those dailies on your own in less than 3' on hell difficulty
The problem with DI right now is the bugs and the optimization is a worst, they need to optimize fluidly the game for low end android device's
Other than 2 battle pass’s purchased I’m F2P, came back from launch 2 months ago, left at P67 now P901 and inferno2 unlocked (carried in helliquary) . Ok my gear is low 11-16 I’m just under 20k CR and 765 res no 5star gets. I can do all content in inferno 1. It’s all very enjoyable and way better than it was at launch, play smart and efficient get to know your class and build and you’ll have tons of fun in DI for free, find a decent warband and clan also

Well. It still affects shadow wars and the rite of exile, too, which is what the main premise of the game revolves around. Yes, the rewards still suck, let's be honest. But they have been buffing rewards slowly, so they are better than they were at the start of the game. This is why we still can not give up and keep giving blizz constructive feedback.
Were the fair pvp modes a limited time event that had passed? BTW demon hunter is incredibly fun if you haven't tried him yet. Way more fun than blood knight to me.
I ALMOST bought D4 but found it REQUIRES ps5 plus. I am happy to remain in immortal. D4 isn’t worth the added subscription when immortal has more content.

It's not mandatory to play the game. You can play without ps plus but you can't party, chat and pvp. You can still do world bosses without a party.
D4 is not PS5 only LOL

Most of people come to Diablo immortals after they realize they need to play seasons not mmo style of game,I would take this type of game any day of week,in diablo 4 your gear is max already at level 70 than endless nightmare grind for no reason,immortals i got plans in next 5 years lol and new brawl is insane they should keep it forever.
Are they giving out gobs of legendary gems? Not last time I checked.
They give limited time events where your gems may or may not still matter, but that doesn't make it no longer p2w.

Yes it is pay to win.Five star gems and awakening is pay to win.Awakening gear is like buying cheat codes to one shot everything.Pve and PvP.

Not Pay to Play?!! Try to get to 22K CR without paying for it.. You have to be at that lvl to just play open world in Inf 2.. Its not even pay to WIN because most people have given up on BG completely its just not fun for most of the players... its become pay to Continue to PLAY

Never did. But really, high res also equals much easier farming. And high res players tend to dungeon farm and WB together, so it's an exclusive club. Plus the whole ROE and Tower PVP. High res is a benefit everywhere.
Frankly, nothing's changed. It's still p2w. Just had a few temporary events added where your leg gems may or may not matter.
And now it's also a slacker's paradise with nerfed xp.

This whole premise of is X still "pay to win" is completely dumb imo. Your entire life is pay to win, if you haven't noticed. But just because I'm not a millionare and can't own ferrari's doesn't mean I just kill myself either ffs. Every game is monetized, it's literally how they stay in business. If everything was F2P and F2win there would BE NO market for games in the first place. People are so stuck up and entitled that they think they deserve to enjoy all the fun, win all the matches and play all the games without having to drop any money or effort. Winning is subjective. If you are able to enjoy the game as a lower res and do not care about PVP leaderboards or immortal ROE, then you can enjoy and "win" at the game perfectly fine without spending a single penny. If you want to be #1 on BG leaderboards or have 9k res so you can flex online, then yes, you will have to pay. This is not a hard concept to grasp people

You WILL hit a paywall as a f2p player, or it will take you YEARS to get where whales already are long ago. They have even added MORE legendary gems, but your credit card can sure help with that. in terms of PVE i think there is no paywall , because you can still doing the same content even without spending any money in this game, you just have to grind your Combat Rating, but for those new player or returning players, there is a slight difficulties to catch up with the CR because for now to reach Inferno 2 CR requirements you will be stuck around 20k without warband ancestral tableau and thats takes times.. lot of times since its limited to gain per week. but you dont exactly have to pay more to get that so thats not really a paywall, i can say this because i have a friend that never spend anything on this game but still have 22 CR.
for PVP yep i can agree with all the haters that this is still a pay2win games.. but i play alot of mobile games and most of them all RPG game and most of them have more paywall than DI, i debated this since DI day 1 because i used to play against whale in another mobile RPG game, DI is way more balanced than other huge IP mobile games, for example every Ragnarok mobile version, and lineage for sure.. the pay2win is just on another level!! there is no chance we can kill the whale because they have 100 times more stats than the dolphin, if f2p got 30k dmg and 150k HP, the whale can get 1 milion dmg and 10 million HP. they can solo clan war by themself.. thats what you called heavy pay2win..
its only my opinion but for me that already used to compete with that kind of whale from the very start of mobile RPG games in 2012 i can said DI give me more fun times expecially the Battleground. killing whale is what make it fun, if we died from them than it is what it is right.. but if you can kill them thats what i called a good fight. even if i lose the match lol... but back again its only my perspective.
