even though the lifetime set count is very skewed these guys have banger sets everytime
It's insane, it's like jmook is at 49%, he just needs 1% more to pass this test. Set counts truly don't tell the full story.
Seeing this live took actual years off my life. Jmook is probably only behind Zain as my favorite player. This is just magical.
I got up from my couch restraining from screaming at 3am (in UE)... Really wanted to see JMook do this.
Zain and JMook are also my favorite players. Zain really threw against IBDW, it was sad

@@milvilleromain57 The Zain set was the only time I've felt genuinely bad, because even when he loses it's usually because the opponent has to play out of their mind (like the Jmook reverse 3-0's), but this one just felt like he shut off when he was ahead. That's why the real excitement and heartbreak came from this set vs. Hgod.
The Hbox Jmook rivalry was my favourite of this year. And this set is not exception to that, Jesus that ending was tense

This has gotta be one of the craziest Sheik vs Puff sets ever played. I'm heartbroken for Jmook but at the same time I think there is a lot to be studied here which is good. Also for anyone wondering, fully charged Sheik upsmash would not have confirmed a kill at 17:50.

Apparently fully charged Zelda fsmash would have done it. But I doubt he would've been able to get it off or even know about that in that split second lol. In the example I saw, he could guaranteed line it up by being right next to puff from the ledge's side then rolling left, full charge fsmash and it'd kill at 67% standing there on FD.
But I really doubt anyone would know that, especially in a split second decision like that. If it was me I'd have gone upsmash and not killed lmao

@@djhooker8782 there's a setup where you walk into puff and roll behind. it puts you at the perfect spacing where none of the multi hits hit puff but the finishing hitbox of the f smash does.

@@mlalbaitero hungrybox likes to play annoying if he knows it will tilt the opponent. He also looks at the player's controller sometimes to know how they will DI. So I think absolutely he was trying to guage how Jmook was feeling mentally to see if he should play more annoying or aggressive or whatever. Very mental player.

Honestly one of the most tense and hype sets I’ve ever witnessed
Honestly so heartbreaking. I think Jmook could have taken the whole thing if he had just beaten Hbox here. He's beaten Cody a bunch before, recently beat Amsa at LSI and beat Mango at both Shine and Wavedash.
Just look at Jmooks matchhistory on liquipedia. The amount of times he got eliminated by just ONE player is absolutely insane. Axe, for example, also has a really really bad record against hbox, but he doesn’t get to him most of the times. The fact that they played like 13 sets this year, and jmook won only 1, the hydration set, is just mindblowing. Like, we all know Jmook hates to hear it, but picking up Fox is just 10x easier vs Puff. Axe doesn’t even come close to beating Puff with pika, but got damn near this time with Fox.
The MU is so fox favoured, that you just need it imo. There’s a reason why he only loses to Fox and Zain.
MU is arguably 6-4 for Fox, but sadly hbox is so good at this MU, that jmook probably needs plenty of experience vs him.
Jmook was not beating Cody this tournameny, Jmook only beat Cody once this year, at Genesis 8, Cody did very well against Jmook at Summit 13, and had a dominant 3-1 at TBH (double 2 stock and a 3 stock). Cody was playing too hot this tournament, he had pretty dominant 3-1's vs Plup and Axe, reverse 3-0'd both Zain and Hungrybox, and won Game 5 vs aMSa. Jmook destroyed Leffen sure, but Cody and Leffen were playing nowhere near at the same level, Cody was playing amazing aside from vs Mango. There, Mango was the dominant one, especially in Grands, but that's because Mango just dominated everyone he played this tournament even more than Cody did, winning every set, and never being taken to Game 5

I think sheiks need to be more willing to switch to zelda in those hopeless edge gurd scenarios. Once he got sent that far in that last stock it was just a matter of if hbox held ledge and then followed where he landed after the up b. If he switched to zelda after jumping out of hitstun, he could have up b’d either to stage or ledge, and zeldas up b landing on the ground has rly low lag, meaning hbox would have to have been on stage already to smash attack, or wouldve had to read it perfectly and did a ledge jump rest. I think zelda can really help out in scenarios like this, I hope people will start using her for that sorta situation cause sheiks recovery in those far out lengths is basically useless if ur oponent is careful.

@@firelifeblizzard8782 nope. Thats if u end it in the air and land on the ground after. If you land on the ground with the teleport it has virtually no lag. And the camera doesnt follow it so you cant read it, u just have to guess. Also since most people are used to sheiks ending lag (which is a lot) they might try to attack with something laggy and get caught by zeldas shield and then a back air or somn.
