Yeah ngl I’ve met hella black truck drivers from the hood not that only black people are from the hood but I’m just saying I’m glad to see y’all make it out
Big Facts I needed this and I will look at this everyday until I get where I wanna be.. I’m in training to drive Ready Mixer truck for Thomas Concrete. Thanks sis I gotta do it 🦾🦾
Been driving standard about 5 months on my current job. Still make alot of mistakes here and there. Depending on situation. Although, i usually shift pretty smoothly unless i encounter something i havent been in yet. Which is okay being im inexperienced. Main thing is to avoid hitting someone and just drive off the road if need be. Rather it be a oppsie than charged for manslaughter.
Learn how to float the gears, clutch only needed for starting and stopping. That’s right, and NO, it does NOT damage the clutch, just do it right. Screw Double Clutching, that is obsolete!
@@karsoncollins7920 Either or which ever you are most comfortable with, again depending on your state you need to clutch when you are taking the test, but once you past them you can float them up and down, you only need the clutch for real when you FIRST put in gear like when leaving the parking lot etc
My cdl school was literally a scam we only had 5 times an hour each to drive on the road before the test, it is not hard just have the right rpms and double clutch literally don’t even feel when I shift gears because paying attention to what you doing makes you good. I’ll upload a video once I’ll get on a manual truck because every company only has automatics now
Took me about a good week to learn double clutch but overall I still grind from time to time but majority of the time I float unless I'm Heavy Overweight. Manuel gang click here

That's an insane way to learn a stick shift. Learning in a semi is literally starting from the top😂 starting from the bottom would be an old 1980s honda with 285k miles & a clutch that basically lets you do whatever you want.
Truck driving taking me out the hoood!!!! On god stay patient and bless up everyone!!!

Most states require double clutching just to pass the test….once you pass that…… FLOAT’EM!!

Double clutching is more for timing your gear change when you are first starting out. Then you find out your foot control and you can just float em.
Awesome!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This gives me anxiety, but I want to do it🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤣
Hy keep it up
I learned how to double clutch and downshift in 2 days
Do you have any videos of your shifting

THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.
Once you come out on the road you’ll learn how to float. Super easy! 😎
any tips on getting into truck driving?
Just wait until you learn how to float those gears and not even touch the clutch, then you’ll ready be the sh*t! 😮😂😂
Yeah you'll be ready on your way out cuz any company that actually takes care of their trucks will fire you for doing that as they should

I did this and i think it’s way easier than the gas pick up I have now
Semis are a lot easier than cars as far as shifting 6 gotta learn the pattern
Semis are way more difficult. You have to match rpms w speed, gear selector, accelerate to downshift etc.
I drive manuel myself yall think this will be easy for me just the difference more gears
Try not to use clutch 👍
