I recently finished 1:1000 scale Titanic model. Both of this ship contains a fair amount of rigging and the best way to rig ships in small model is to glue the thread instead of tying it. The BEST thread for small scale ship is actually a straight hair extension. The hair is so thin that it will add that level of detail and won’t be over-scaled. Use white glue instead of super glue that way it won’t harden the hair easy to fix

There aren't many videos about brush painting, acrylic paints and technique alternatives (I'm still unable to spend a lot of money in this art ._. ) My first kit is a Revell's MiG-21 Fishbed C in 1:72 scale, your tips on pencil preshading and general brush painting are saving me! I'm looking for a situation to mount and use a wet palette, I loved this idea at 1:24, maybe in a next model because the MiG has a flat color overall... Thanks for all and here goes my question to the Q&A video: is there any kind of model where weathering is avoided, to give it maybe a cleaner look? If not, is there any "cheap" way to make it? Very diluted black/grey paint? Dry brushing?

Hairspray....get you chipping colour then coat that with some gloss , hair spray after the gloss has dried and then paint the wanted colour. After Drying you wet the surface with water ( that reactivates the hairspray underneath) and by using a brush that has been cut down you can control where you have chipped.(watch a video and you might understand better)

Do you know how apply washes properly and not remove the paint underneath the wash. As I'm having a problem with that.
