But if that isn't all the characters being shown in the trailer my guess would be, if they go back in time it would be around the witch trials. And would be a little red haired girl, accused of being a witch, your team saves her and PLOT TWIST she actually is a witch and joins your team. And she has the fire element.
Now that statement is 100% made up just now, but if that turns out to be the case remember that I called that from a mile away 🤣

My thoughts exactly. Searched the comments for "dark cloud" haha, the environment looked exactly like the town from Dark Cloud 2.
Man those games were incredible. Hasn't been anything like it since. So many new ideas and ambition in that second game, especially. Hope Level-5 finally gets their act together and puts out a sequel, or even a new property with similar town-building mechanics.

The night time setting in this game oddly reminds me of the carnival level of Nier: Automata.
With more digging it seems that some people have found that the music clip used in the beginning of this trailer is exactly the same as the Factory Theme from the game previously mentioned.
As a final note, the robots in this game also remind me of the ones from N:A.
Dammit, I wish that game was coming to the switch.
Just got done beat the game. It’s very underrated.
It’s a simple rpg (good for beginners, decent enough for regulars). The story is better than expected. It’s not final fantasy or xenoblade chronicles, but was better than games like shining resonance refrain (the pacing in that game sucked, things didn’t pick up till halfway into the game).
