CMON MOM! It's 100% on parents: the lack of socialization (put him in church groups, boy scouts, sports, ANYTHING!), unsupervised door knocking (teach him boundaries and SAFETY! ), the immaturity in his speech/ thought process (teach him what is appropriate & inappropriate, esp for his age), and of course appearance (weight issue, haircut). DON'T teach him to be so desperate for OTHERS or he will become codependent! (if he's not already) I mean FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, he's willing to hang out with a 2 year old to avoid being "alone". He probably gets along with younger kids & bullied by older ones bc he is awkward and immature, but he doesn't have to be. STEP UP MOM! Maybe even a Big Brother program/ mentor.

They didn’t show the full story obviously on the news. He said he likes two years olds since he had a baby sister. Also the go fund me i believe was to get him a scooter 🛴 but then they obviously got more money. The mom had asked to closed the gofund me but he had donated to 2 different causes. Being a bigger kid can definitely have its set backs growing up but also in general kids can just be so mean. You can tell hes a bit socially awkward so maybe making friends takes more skills then he has. Im 27 and aint got much friends myself. Hardly any. Im not big, nor awkward. Being friendless just seems to effect anyone now adays. Not just the “stereotypical” ones

Yes, bullying is an issue, and can screw up the childhood of a growing boy. But parents only have some control over what goes on in school, so their focus should be on fixing things on THEIR end. I've seen kids like this, and hope they all are raised in away that doesn't set them up for loneliness.

I was chubby till I was 14 then I got taller and became skinny asf damn near scrawny. My parents always told me they knew I was gonna get tall and stretch out so they weren't worried when I was a chubby 12 year old. I have struggled with weight issues throughout my life. Despite eating less than most and being active in sports, I cannot seem to lose weight. Middle school can be particularly challenging for bigger kids due to appearance, but I am healthy and my doctors have not identified any issues. However, I have found friends who accept me for who I am and we have a happy group with a tall kid, a short kid, a kid who is sometimes insecure, and a bit bigger kid like me. Sometimes you can get "bigger" from genes, my cousin was the smallest twin compared to her sister, she got her moms wide ribcage and eats the same things her sister does. Yet she's bigger than her sister. I'm not saying its not possible for his mom to overfeed him but there's other ways.
Yes this is true but losing weight has nothing to do with genetics all it tajes is discipline and a good habits/dieting. As someone who used to be skinny and blamed it on my metabolism once i tried to eat more i gained 15 pounds of lean muscle in less than half a year

Middle school was 50/50 for me i had to start a new middle school the first week after getting taken out of the middle school with all my elementary friends .... only way i bonded and made friends quickly with the new middle school kids was we all played Football at the boys and girls club. I know for a fact if i wasnt in that middle school wouldve been terrible
There are other factors to consider as well: some people live in food deserts and don't have access to healthy foods readily. Lack of education: the mom may not be educated on the healthiest way to feed her child. Also if the mom is also overweight or obese, she probably wouldn't be used to any other ay of life and so she just teaches her child what she herself does. Sometimes it just boils down to genetics as well. Some people are just genetically more vulnerable to gaining unhealthy fat. So yes the mother is somewhat blameworthy, but there are a LOT of factors that are potentially contributing to the child's situation.
