Nice video...Here in Sacramento, Calif, a few weeks ago, I saw one of these cranes take down a 220 foot Tower crane...and the MAXIM has a crane depot here too.
oh really, awesome! thanks, i messed up at the beginning, was suppose to raise the A-frame when it got unloaded off the trailer, but raising it on the model is a pain, so i waited as long as i could before messing with it.
Liked the video but two important steps, when you assemble/disassemble is when you first receive the crane on the truck the gantry or A frame must be rolled forward or the upper works will flip over backwards on the truck. Another thing is you can not swing the crane around during assembly/disassembly due to the crane having too much counter balance on the rear of the crane. I know its just a video !!!!!
@bfurnace this one as it sits in the video, fully together, was 740 i think, just depends on the model, the string is connected to a drum that can be turned with a special key, and it lets you raise it up or down
Nice vid! How long did it take to shoot all this? Little advice, use a remote on the camera to avoid the wobbling during the video. Nice crane, those things are really huge, even as models.
@cranecollector101 haha yeah, sorry it took so long, i just really havent had time or didnt feel like making it but now its done, onto the next one, thanks
Roughly how much are those models? I would imagine they are pretty pricey. How do you control the line? Do the models have wheels that let you spin out the lines?
Cranedude07, Do you also have the Conrad LR1280? if so could you send me a pic of it side by side your NZG Liebherr 855 crawler? I'm trying to see the difference in size Just recently purchased the LR1280 but I haven't gotten it yet. If it's not so too much trouble man. Cheers Gene
You'd be in heaven at my job. I am a PM at Vogtle Nuclear plant where we are building 2 new nuclear reactors and we have the Biggie designed and built worlds highest capacity derrick crane. Capable of lifting 7,500 tons! 👍
cranedude07 Yup the counter weight for the gin pole is an enormous concrete block poured beneath the finished grade! I really like your videos keep up the good work. Your stop motion is very cool. 👍👍👍
Weissbrothers.us, dhsdiecast.com, 3000toys.com, fmb-shop.de, are a few places I get them. They are not RC, they are manually operated by hand and a winch key.
Hi cranedude07, really wicked video! And this is a relative 'baby' compared to the Manitowoc 31000. You will have to assemble it on the floor I think? mrbluenun
Dude you should go to the next step, lengthen the video and input text and make it into an assembly safety video. Sell it for $500-$900 each and make some money on all your efforts. It should go over big time! Contact a manufacturer and sell it to them!
@@briancaldwell1798 no I didnt build it, someone else built it and sent it to me for me to do the video of it, to help get him more views of it. I havent talked to that guy in years, I doubt he even still builds them.
Do you think you could contact him if possible I'll buy the crane and pay him to in stall everything. I've always built rc nitro helicopters and planes but not shore how it works in the rc cranes to some what.
Bro that was awesome. Loved the stop motion, loved the intricate build process.
