    The only nice things in Igbo land are their single family homes, which are gorgeous when compared to other areas in Nigeria. However, infrastructures, capitalized factories, or commercial structures are not there…which is bad for the average economy in those lands. I understand that many of the Igbo lands were built by individuals who went abroad and then came back to build their single homes; however, the governors for these regions need to do better and invest in capital agents to create traffic and help the economy in these places. Many of their capital agents are old school, outdated, and out of style and that’s just a fact!

      Because of ease of business! A lot of Igbos in Lagos are there cos of customs, seaport, airport etc. Lagos has monopoly for import and export in Nigeria. Owerri is still beautiful. Compare it to SW cities naa.

    Owerri needs more direct investment for the city to truly thrive. The govt is obviously making efforts to modernize the city but there’s still evidence of poverty all over the place. The average Owerri resident should be earning millions monthly. Sadly, most jobs in the city still pay a paltry 25k to 30k which isn’t even up to $50. When the people become richer, it will reflect on the landscape of the city. The govt should spend more on the people.

      No it’s not. Be realistic! And this is coming someone whose family is from Owerri.
      The Igbo land needs a lot of work! People in Igbo land need to pause on investing in their single family homes and start investing in capital driving agents and commercial properties!

    Propaganda video, Owerri is generally a glorified village littered with dilapidated roads and filthy environment. Most areas in Owerri are a complete mess. Apart from weatheral road, there's no other good place in Owerri. Owerri and aba has so much in common in the areas of bad roads and sanitation challenge

      You are an Igbo man and I understand your plight. We don't put up with mediocrity. We can do so much better. Usually westerners and Northerners bash SE. Apart from Lagos, the whole of SW is an eyesore. Ibadan is a huge market square. The north has big wide open roads! Very commendable especially for Anambra state where roads are so anarrow. Other than that, nothing special about north as as well. Igbo land is beautiful. If only Nigerian leaders can invest in every regions strength, like Obi wants to do, Lagos will be decongested. Owerri is beautiful and clean. I am an Anambra man.

    • @owerrig296
      @owerrig296 Před rokem

      @@onyiiilo378 I am from imo state, but truth be told, Anambra is the most developed state in igboland. Anambra has the best roads and widest roads in igboland. Imo is a failed backward state with the worst roads alongside with abia state. Owerri is a glorified village littered with dilapidated roads and filthy environment. Owerri is not fit to be a state capital. We are yet to get it right in imo state. I am from imo, so I know what I am talking. Stop deceiving yourself

    • @onyiiilo378
      @onyiiilo378 Před rokem +1

      @@owerrig296 brother we will get it right oneday. Igbo nwere mmadu. We need to go home and build south east. We should also be able to hold our leaders accountable. Anambra has the best road network because of Obi and you see how the supposed Igbo leaders are fighting him. Aba and Onitsha have highest concentration of storey buildings. The kind you can only see in European towns. No place in Nigeria not even lagos or abuja has that.
      Aba is more planned than Onitsha (awada obosi) in my opinion. Abia roads are terrible that's true. Anambra edges Abia on that.
      Let me tell you, Igboland has the best rural communities in the whole of Nigeria. Is that enough? No! We can do better!!! We need to, first start constructing wide open roads like they have in the north. A lot of buildings in Onitsha by the road sides needs to be knocked down! Of course now without compensating the owners!
      We need a lot of work to be done in in Nigeria. We are stalling cos tribal and religion trumps everything.
      Forget what they tell you, SW is worse! This is why they always talk about Lagos. North only has roads! We need to change our mentality in Nigeria and start holding our leaders accountable. If they understand that they are there to serve, political positions will not be a do or die affair. Again, why they fear/hate Obi.
      This is why I said that I understand you. Nigerians have been conditioned to accept the bare minimum! Our politicians brag about paying salaries. Wike commissions roads and expect people to clap for him 🙄
      I am a citizen of Australia, do that here, people will blast you! Our governor(premier) rides bicycle to work cos he was caught speeding and he lost his license. A senator was forced to resign because she hired helicopter ride for her son's birthday for $3k (tax payers money)
      Nigerians need re-orientation! Check Obi's history/records and you will understand why thieves hate him. Nigeria or rather SE need Politicians like him across all boards.
      Chukwu gozie gi, nwanne m ❤️
