‘Away from dysfunction’: Jacinta Price discusses roots of Indigenous youth crime

  • Senator Jacinta Price says Australia must get to the root of youth crime in Indigenous communities rather than “treating it downstream”.
“We need to get to the root of the problem instead of treating it downstream, we need to start preventing kids from committing crimes in the first place,” she said.
“We need to take these kids away from dysfunction, we need to put them in homes where they are going to be cared for, where their human rights are going to be upheld.”

We need Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and James Patterson as the Leader and Deputy Leader of LNP. What a force for Australia they would be. OMG how do we make this happen.
I agree with Jacinta on what to do with these children being raised in dysfunctional families. They will do much better being raised in an environment of love, fairness, tolerance, attention, and structure. It really does not matter what skin colour we are. It's a mute point. If children are raised in a loving, caring, nurturing environment with people who love them and give them their time and attention. Then 9 times out of 10 they will also be good people. Those who are not shown love or caring or nurturing, but live in loud, abusive dysfunctional homes will grow and have behavioural issues. It is not who plants the seed. It is who raises that seed to a sappling, then a tree. With love, nuturing and patience so it grows strong, tall and stable.

This is the same in Alaska. Drugs & Alcohol are illegal in most of the indigenous towns and villages there beause of the high substance abuse and crime rates, especially during the VERY long frigid winters, where people are shut in almost 100%. I personally DO NOT want a CDC put in place because it allows the government to control everyone too much. People lose a lot of their freedoms with this system.

Definitely dodged a bullet with the yes vote.
Truly shocking that a party that was born out of the Great Depression by unionists representing the working class and battler’s has become the victim of its own progeny. Every time Albo references growing up in a single parent household doing it tough a piece of the world dies.

That was not done for abused children, it was done carte blanche for all children of a community for politiczl reasons, the children were then institutionalised, not fostered. Terrible

Got my vote everyday of the week.
    Thank you Jacinta.
For speaking the truth and for having a real solution to this problem.
Good kids have good role models. And that's what good parents are.
As well as being a loving parent.
I read a quote a while ago that rang true to me.
"When a parent stops loving a child, the child doesn't stop loving the parent. They stop loving themselves."
Love goes a long way to how a person lives their life.

Nice Sky News ! Keep the focus on this country, keep it up - force the political servants to fulfill the role we're paying them to do!
It's called the Machiavellian rules of governance. Basically abuse their "subjects" then patch it up to prove they're competent.
Most Aussies just can't comprehend the daily life we endure, the antics we witness due to the divisive agendas of state and federal servants.
Tip "we know its all deliberate" This whole controversy is designed to create exactly this dysfunction. Government bureaucracy networking, is a way to create the conditions for the problem and let it fester, then delegate another "ex-purt" to fix it.
But first the country must endure moments with the leader "podium pony" announcing a new minister that will stop ignoring the issue by reestablishing the control systems.

There is a limit to how much we can restrict aboriginal people. If they want to drink or gamble with their own money they have to have some freedom. In the worst locations, alcohol abd gambling need to be forbidden totally. It is a very delicate balance. No different rules for different groups of australians, the anti Voice people said.
