It was actually Payson High School, Kevin. I was there, and you were in my psych class. My girlfriends and I made sure you shared a locker with us. Someday we should sit down and swap stories about your undercover enrollment. ;)
Payson in Utah? If so no wonder they weren’t welcoming, he didn’t like like a typical Mormon and sadly some kids aren’t too cool to people who don’t look like people in their church.
unfortunately one of the most overmatched villains against stallone in "cliffhanger". did anyone think he could beat sly mano y mano? i don't think so 👊🏽
I know I seen an show about that, where he went live and said he was gonna go head back to the school for prom … I can’t wait to see the film clips from that it’s going to be amazing! 🥓
Footloose, Harry and the Hendersons, Tremors, 3rd Rock from the Son. All my favorites and was fortunate enough to see the movies in theaters on opening day and watch 3rd Rock on t.v. Great times indeed.

@bubbles4905 - I am the same generation as Kevin Bacon and few people had heard of him until Footloose. It put him on the map and in teen heartthrob magazines!
All this is from a period in time when America was looked upon with awe by pretty much all of the rest of the world - we're talking 1970ish onwards through around 2001. Mid-late 70s and 80s was peak USA cultural impact globally - basically brought down Communism.
Has Lithgow been living under a rock? This whole Bacon enrolled for a day at a real high-school before cameras rolled on the film itself - to see what it was like - was something that was well- publicized even at that time _after the fact_ of course and the actor has told the story countless times since
@@skyehamm9629 Well, *of course* , _'it wasn't publicized'_ in advance of the cameras rolling but after the production wrapped and on the promotional trail afterwards _and_ for years to come it was spoken of regularly - Bacon in particular mentioned it often in interviews
Now these are the interviews we should be blessed with. This was great.
‘Footloose’ was Absolutely Fantastic and This was An Incredible Flashback Congratulations to Everyone! Kevin Bacon Your The Best!
you're
I’m 47 this year and had the blessing of growing up in the 80s and it was awesome. 🙌

Looks like they got him to go to their prom czcams.com/video/bnlwRZ4-Y5o/video.html
Are you saying you were aware of the reason he was there?
He's going to the school's prom in 2024!
He corrected the name during the interview
John Lithgow is a national treasure!
Indeed he is. He was phenomenal in Raising Cain.
Lithgow is one of my favorite actors. He was phenomenal in the first film I ever saw him in, Buckaroo Banzai. It’s a cult classic with an A-List cast.
All hail Lord Farquaad!
..in what nation?

My favourite actor, love him, ❤ Kevin Bacon. John Lithgow, great actor too, obviously.
Keven 🥓 is a amazing actor ,whatever movies he does is amazing
The both of them are such amazing actors!!!
Lovethses two! Talking about working with footloose!
Why does this interview have less than 100 likes for one thing, and 2 dislikes for another? IT'S KEVIN MOTHERFLUCKING BACON! WTF!
and John's story is amazing too.
He’s going back April 20th for one last Prom before the school closes down and relocates

Good talk and so interesting in both actors life stories. Kevin, I am so sorry teachers treated you like this. As a teacher that makes me sad.

An very insightful conversation with Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow
This should be called, “Actors amaze Actors.”
Sad to hear the school where the film Footloose is being closed and taken down.. hopefully they save the locker used by Kevin Bacon in the film.
What a great conversation! Love the honesty.
I loved Harry and the Hendersons I watch it over and over!
The end credit song is the best.

I was in high school when the movie came out- never heard the story
It wasn’t publicized that he was a student for one day. No one knew til later.
I'm just finding this out now, been watching "Footloose" for years.
