@@GrittyGearAndPodcast mine has to be chap stick or my bow release in the truck 15 miles away.... I used a bowtech pro 40 back then and opted to use my fingers. It was 10 degrees out,so when I let the string go and shot my fingers felt like I broke them because of the cold.

The start of what I have been waiting for all fall. I would have watched it Sunday night when it dropped, but sadly after a month and a half battle with underlying conditions and the C Virus my beloved mother passed away on Friday Dec 4th. Now the healing process begins and watching some EPIC GRITTY footage, with some humor and adventure helps. I am hoping that I will have my muley adventure this upcoming fall of 2021 since I didn't have a tag in Idaho when I went with family in 19, and couldn't go for various reasons this year. You two definitely inspire me to get after it. Starting my application research now. Thanks for sharing.
One could always use a great set of trekking poles and hardcore gaiters. I definitely made the mistake of going super cheap on my trekking poles and they kept collapsing on me when I had to hike in a couple miles and 1400 vertical feet to help my brother pack out his first mule deer buck.
Always appreciate when the Gritty series showcase what hunting actually is like, there's humor, excitement, being cold, etc. It's always a joy to watch you guys hunt, keep up the awesome work!

Brian Thank you, I watched your video, quitting/going home early, it motivated me to go out west on a Elk hunt alone. Normally I make one trip a year with a couple of friends but due to my wife's terrible bout with breast cancer I cleared my schedule for her . Here is the good news after chemo, surgery, radiation they told us we are cancer free! She insisted that I go. At 61 years young I made the trip and packed in on public land alone for a six day hunt and packed out my Elk! You are right, the weight of the Elk on your back only gives me joy. I have watched your series from the beginning and always enjoyed your story. Thank you

Out of all the hunting videos I watch (and I watch a TON!), Gritty films are the ones I get most excited about when I see them pop up! You two are probably the two guys I look up to most when it comes to hunting. I aspire to do hunts like this one day when I get myself geared up for something like this. I've been doing some shorter and less gear intensive hunts and have been enjoying them a lot, but my goal is to do some of these serious back country hunts! Much like this or in places like the Frank Church, or Hells canyon! Those are the hunts that I literally dream of! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and keeping me dreaming of giant bucks, bulls and bruins in the back country!

Good stuff gentlemen! This was what I needed this evening. I have been a bit melancholy with November past and having to go back to work. I haven't tried the RX butter but have been on the RX bars with dark chocolate almond butter. Those things are dense and even more so with a serving of almond butter on top.
You guys are doing some great stuff and I really look forward to it coming. I really appreciate you guys keeping it good clean family fun so that my little boy can take it in with me!

I love the videos you boys put out .... Iâm a 49 yr old lady that was never exposed to hunting or fishing, but have been intrigued for years... fighting a cancer battle with my 25 yr old daughter for past year and a half , needing a break from reality I completed my hunters safety on my own and have gone out the 19 & 20 seasons to start learning. No fur on the ground but have learned a lot. Watching all you proâs through these videos has been amazing and helpful to start being able to recognize good and not so good situations.

Hey Brian, Ryan weâve been waiting for some releases of some new videos to hold us over through the winter. The new song at the intro was a nice touch. What a crazy year for us all. I had my 2020 deer/elk hunts ruined by multiple testings from doctors telling me I had cancer only to find out two days before the season was over that it wasnât actually cancer. I am very thankful for the results and the people that supported me. I decided that instead of going out for the last two days of the years hunt, I just wanted to spend it with the people I love. Many more hunts and years to come in the future.

You guys are the real deal. Your previous 3 part mule deer hunt in Colorado is absolutely the best hunting documentary I've ever watched.
Nobody deserves a wall hanger more than these boys. You guys put in the time, dedication and 110% effort to get what you're after on every hunt. This is what separates the holiday hikers from the true western hunter. You are legit and you show it so well in your filming. I love your product. Keep it up.

This reminds me of the elk hunt my three boys and I went on about 6 years ago and we were out in the edge of the desert and the temps were zero during the daytime and minus 20 at night and we were dry camp hunting so no stove, you find out real quick who the real hunters are! Love the channel canât wait to see the second part of the hunt!

Love your videos guys. I kind of live vicariously thru your hunts since I'm disabled and can't get out there like that anymore. Brings back great memories when I was younger and stronger. I pretty much can only road hunt anymore and as you know it's not the same. I did manage to fill my antelope tag last year with my wife's help though. I love the interaction between you two. I wish I had known about your videos way before this. Happy hunting and get a big one.

Hey Dan! I received 4 thumbs down within 5 minutes of posting the video. These people are obvious trolls--they didn't even bother to watch the video. The reality is, success breeds jealousy. But I focus on all the AWESOME feedback and ignore the haters. I ain't got time for haters--I'm too busy working my craft and challenging myself to be stronger, faster, and more gritty. ;-)
