I remember watching an older diy decor show , the decorator used torn sheets of brown paper heavier weight possibly from a box store for painters to cover the floor. The crumpled paper with torn random edges applied to the wall or floor looked like leather. I don’t remember what the decorator used for a finish coat. But I remember liking it.
I'm more of a fall person, but I loved your haunted house!! Could you have glued little tiny black buttons on the back of your little ghosts? They were adorable! I made a pumpkin with fall napkins, and I think I pulled the gooey stuff off of my fingers for a week! But it turned out beautifully.

Darn girl, that pumpkin! I got tired trying to count the number of steps.. when my sons were small and I was fortunate to not work outside the home, I did so much holiday crafting , and I’d have an afternoon party for all.
I have to add my comment to the rest of the chorus. Both projects hit right out of the part. Absolutely wonderful pumpkin outcome, and the house reno was adorable. Perfect ideas for fall as well. You could easily make a house for a scarecrow and add little crows. Oohhh ... so many possibilities! 🤩

Yes!! I be actually made a scary, crooked tree out of paper bags too!! Love Halloween!! Painted black and poly then put tea candle in back to glow the branches!! Loving these ideas!!!
@@GingerChickRehab not sure if you would like this idea for my Halloween scary trees but here goes!! Big paper bag, cut bottom & seam off, crinkle in every direction with unfolding in between. Unfold and place in water, let drip dry with clothes pins and wire hanger! Usually do that in shower. Take outside and spray paint black, let dry. I do add a bit of bronze metallic paint spray-like the glitter that the tea candles pick up!! Glue gun & twisting-so much fun!! Making a tree!!

Right now I’m getting ready for Halloween. I have paper bags in candy corn print. And you just did this paper bag pumpkin…. I love the vintage style projects combined with fairy lights. Yet I prefer the neutral and warm light instead of the cold one you are using. It's rather for modern style. Try to get the warm lights - they give a vintage vibe 😊

Everything looks fantastic, I think you can add a little water to the end of the paint container. Yes I try to use every drop like makeup. :).
Try stamping with a mouse pad (or something like that) under the paper to get a crisper image.

Paint on both sides!! With back and the bronze metallic. I usually do a dog can box same way with paint-not water treatment.
You out did yourself. Super messy but the outcome was great. I remember paper machet in second grade I made a cat sized skunk. Fun fun fun.
