Clack WS1 Water Softener Programming Live Stream

During this live stream I’m going to show you all of my techniques, tips and tricks to properly program the great Clack WS1 water filtration valve. This event is perfect for you if you have a 3, 4 or 5 button valve and want to learn more about it’s settings. And along the way I’ll explain specific programming settings on not only water softeners but tannin filters, iron filters and twin tank systems. I’ll show you how super easy it is to program the valves and what settings you definitely don’t want to touch!
I’ll also share with you the few settings you need to adjust when first installing one of our HUM Water Filtration systems. By the way, keep in mind that when first powering up the valve you need to leave it plugged in for at least 24 hours so the power cell backup can turn on to retain your new settings.
Be sure to think carefully about any changes before you make them, although the programming is pretty straight forward you can totally render your system useless with just a few incorrect button pushes. I’ll even show you how easily you can upgrade your valve from a simple 3 button, Time Clock water softener valve to a Premium 5 button by swapping out 3 parts and adjusting the settings.
Just so you know, there are lots of water filtration companies that use Clack WS1 valves but brand them as something else, like we do with our HUM water softeners and filters. These valves are used by Water Depot, Nelsen, Viqua and lots more. How can you tell if yours is a Clack valve? Don’t look at the front, check the valve body and bypass behind the faceplate to see if yours has the round injector port on the top, as well as the “E” clips for the brine and drain line connections. Also, the bypass has very distinctive red, arrow shaped handles. If yours looks like this, you have a Clack WS1 valve and what we are talking about here today applies.
By the way, the valves have a QR code inside the faceplate which you can scan with your smart phone to take you to the basic manuals. I have links in the description below to the more in-depth manuals.
There are 2 basic Clack WS1 Valve versions that we recommend. The WS1CC or sometimes called the WS1CI is used for water softeners and air over media iron and sulphur filter and the WS1TC used for back washable filters like carbon filters for removing chlorine from your water or sediment filters for removing dirt from your water. You will also see the WS1, which is the original 5 button valve and is still used today and the WS1EI or 4 button valve which has less programming options than the CC valve but still can be used on softeners, iron filter and twin tank systems. You can identify them by the button configuration on the front.
