- Prior to sailing on the first Carnival Cruise out of Miami in 2021, Carnival Horizon July 4 2021, we stayed at the Embassy Suites Miami International Airport Hotel. Here is a quick look at what a one bedroom suite looks like and what we thought of the room. If you are looking for a convenient, reasonably priced, hotel in Miami, near the Airport and Cruise Port of Miami, with the included Evening Reception (FREE Drinks!) and Breakfast including made-to-order omelets, the Embassy Suites may be a great choice for your pre-cruise stay.

Yes it’s a hotel room
Great review. Was debating between here and the blue lagoon hotel options. It’s between the Pullman and the Hilton. We thought about Embassy but heard some nixed reviews.
Thank you! The Blue Lagoon area convenient as well but we drive down and have known folks who had their cars broken into at blue lagoon hotels so we have never stayed in that area. My opinion (Julie) for most Miami hotels with the exception of the 5 stars, you kind of have to set your expectations one star below what you would expect at the same hotel in another place. The elevators at the Embassy Suites are very slow so we always ask for a low floor and it helps quite a bit.
@@ReedLife ahh hood to know. We will be flying in and out and will not need a car. We plan on using Uber. But hood to know. Last time we rented a car down in Miami and stayed at the Marriott airport. Really enjoyed that hotel as they offered a very nice hot breakfast buffet with omelette station. They also had a business center with complimentary snacks through out the day.
Is the sofa a pull-out bed?
Yes it is a pull out. Not the most comfortable but usable for sure.

I'm not sure of the parking costs, for some reason we were not charged. It may have been due to low occupancy and recent re-opening though, so I don't really know. Sorry.
Have you heard about break ins the airport area?
I have not heard about break-ins in this area specifically. I have heard of break-ins over in the Blue Lagoon section, one of our cruise companions had their car broken into while at dinner over in Blue Lagoon a few years ago.

Hi thanks for stopping by! They do have an airport shuttle I think it runs about every 30 minutes. The evening reception at this one is 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Usually Embassy Suites receptions are either 5 - 7 or 5:30 - 7:30. Hope this helps!

The room is dated and IMO awful. From a Hilton Honors Member with 1000 nights under my belt. A beater of a hotel.
