    I start my Lpn in October 2024. I always wanted to be a nurse. I want to make it succeed and move out of the place I live at.

    I’m cracking up laughing, you’re talking about ‘this generation’ and you looking like you’re a good 25 yo in the face 😍
    I’m starting my LPN program in the summer at my local community college. This is a nice vid. Thank you sharing!

      🤭🤭🤭Lol I was referring to the Gen z’s. I’m a millennial but I’ve realized work ethic doesn’t have an age. I wish you nothing but the best in your program. Stay focused and don’t give up!🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

    I have people discouraging me with being a Medical Assistant but I want to get the experience in the healthcare field. Afterwards I will be applying to an LVN program. And I do not want to work in long term care as a LVN. I really wouldn't mind working in a clinic setting. Yep I hate that as well. Although i am childfree and someone always calls off with me and I work in the school system. And I am doing the best I can to get out of the job because it's not worth it at all. The new generation they are just lazy and they want something for nothing. They don't want to work for anything. And it's hard to find help nowadays. One time at my job it was 7 teachers that had called out. But I do the best I can do to keep it moving. Love your video @Nurse Nassia

      Thank you! It’s so hard listening to others because people always have an opinion about what you’re doing. The only thing I would say about becoming a MA, it’s about the same timeframe as LVN program. How do you feel about working as a PCT in the hospital. Like unit secretary or something? A quicker certification that would allow you to work in the healthcare setting. Just a thought. But yes, this generation, they’re super lazy! It’s so frustrating working with ppl like that.

    I just saw an add for an LPN at Walmart in my city and I was tempted to apply but I worked for them for 8 years as a pharmacy tech and I don't know if much had changed. People call off all the time but Wally world doesn't even try to find help they just work you to death. The employee that barely comes in has no accountability. My medical assistant always calls out too. 🤦🏿‍♀️

    • @Its_Nassia
      @Its_Nassia  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I would say definitely apply and weigh all of your options! It’s the easiest position I’ve had in my nursing career. The call offs seem to be the same but recently my Center Administration implemented the actual point system for attendance so we’ll see if that helps. Lol but I’ll say I’m probably not leaving anytime soon.

      I didn’t even know Walmart had physician offices !
      I guess it’s in different states. I’m on the East Coast .. we only have stores to shop with Walmart.
      Great video !

    I am really debating on of I should go ahead and become an LPN. I see a bunch of ppl say become a CNA first just to see how it is working with patients.

    • @Its_Nassia
      @Its_Nassia  Před měsícem +1

      That’s not a bad idea. Most CNA courses are approximately 2 weeks. I was a CNA first but many of us stay CNA’s for too long. My advise would be not to lose focus. Ultimately do what you feel will be best for you! Keep me posted!❤️

      @its_nassia the college I got my associates from says I need to get my GPA up before I can even take the teas test because I withdrew from the medical assisting program almost two years ago due to personal reasons.
      I sent two other technical school/a college an email asking next steps to apply for their program.

    • @maddz2536
      @maddz2536 Před 7 měsíci +3

      the requirements depend on the state but you have to take an accredited nursing program then pass the nclex and all of that can take 1-2 years☺️☺️

    • @Its_Nassia
      @Its_Nassia  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes, @maddz2536 is correct. This can be done at a private school, some community colleges or even a vocational school. What state are you located in?

    Love that nail color ! And GIRL 👏 let 👏 me 👏 tell 👏 you 👏. Dependability is out the window with this new generation. I’m 30 and I can count on my damn hands how many times I’ve had to call out and I work with people who call out every week but the places are so desperate for workers they just let it ride ! It’s horrible . I work with girls a couple years older than me and they call out multiple times a month for headaches , tummy aches . It’s insane . But you got another subscriber here! I’ve been thinking about being an LPN for months now but I was teetering between that and sterile processing tech. But I think I’d be too bored of that . I like conversing with people and staying on the go . God bless ! Can’t wait for more videos

    • @Its_Nassia
      @Its_Nassia  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thank you!🥰 you’re absolutely right! The work ethic that is exhibited now… 😩😩😩. I called out for the first time a few days ago and they acted like the clinic had shut down! But I’m not too familiar with sterile tech but I just becoming an LPN would give you more options as far as fields/environment to work in. How long is the sterile tech program?

    • @gigglydogmom
      @gigglydogmom Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Its_Nassia yeah if I call out I get in trouble but nobody else does .. smh. The sterile program I found one online they work behind the scenes putting the tools together for surgery for the docs but I don't think there is much wiggle room for growth. LPNs are getting paid really well where I'm at , swfl.

    • @Its_Nassia
      @Its_Nassia  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Oh ok! There is a lot of wiggle room as an LPN. I would say go for it. I’m in Fl too and it’s definitely out here. The best way to make more money fast is to get experience and move on to the next position!
