One of the best things about Nate is that you don’t even realize it’s clean - it’s just hilarious and then, afterwards, you realize it was clean. A perk to the hilarity that is Nate Bargatze.

This obsession everyone has with labeling “clean” comedy is getting excessive. It comes off so sanctimonious. All that matters is funny or unfunny. “Clean” comics can be funny or unfunny; so can “not clean” comics.

You might like Dry Bar Comedy- lots of clean hilarious humor. I especially like Alex Veluto and Robert Mac specials.
His dad nailed it..."He's not a joke teller, he's a story teller." He just happens to tell stories that are humorous. I love Nate Bargatze. So happy to see him get this recognition. It is so well deserved.
Such a jewel of a comedian! I have been enjoying him for a couple of years and never once UNTIL THIS STORY even realized his humor was actually "clean". He is just a comedian. When you're that talented, there is no "clean" label needed. More power to him.

Been a huge fan of Nate’s since the first bit I heard. Now one of the folks (fan) of his podcast since the beginning I’ve learned he’s one of the genuine and nicest guys around.
I remember his first routine where he is playing half court basketball on carpet inside a church with no basketball using the honor system.
He is 100% my favorite comedian of all time. I stopped watching comedy specials because of how dirty they are. I was able to watch all of Nate’s stuff with my kids. That’s a big deal. And they laughed at a few points, too.
Owen Benjamin was like that too, before he got really involved in politics.

The sign of an extraordinary comedian is that they can be funny without being dirty OR at the expense of any marginalized group. Period. Johnny Carson was a great as well.
It isn't extraordinary. There is so much hilarity in everyday life. Nate has a great cadence, stage presence and an ability to tell a story in an intriguing way that pulls you along and has a great delivery of his punch lines/laugh moments.
Focusing on him being clean is so weird, unless you are uncomfortable with sexuality or biology. But yeah, I can understand how you are offended by comedians making fun of their own or other marginalized groups. A lot of comedians actually don't (smaller comedians), but I think it is mainly because websites like youtube and Instagram are known for pulling monetization or your content when you do. It seems to help with that.
He is my absolute favorite! He's hysterical! I love his clean humor and his demeanor and delivery is fantastic! I have tickets for his show in Tampa this December, so excited!❤😂

Great to see a big piece like this on Nate. He has a terrific persona on stage and his stories are structured perfectly - and hilarious. No meanness, comes off as a gentle funny guy. My husband and I like to put together stand-ups for road trips. I always put the same sets from Nate in the playlist; I never tire of him!
Thank you, Nate. And it's actually a very big thank you, because I'm so tired of there being no decent, just enjoyable tv anymore. There's no content streaming (or even on basic tv; trying to be edgy and compete with Netflix and Hulu), that doesn't have to be vetted or having to change the program when watching with family or your parents.
And I'm 40 years old. And I'm not a prude, but I'm getting tired of having to change what I'm watching when I'm sitting next to a family member, and inevitably every single show suddenly starts talking about t&a. It might be funny and cheap humor to the people making it, but it's just unnecessary. And really, really old.

Nate is the best damn comedian of our time for good clean fun. I salute him. I've seen everything he has to offer so far, which is something I can't say about other comedians other than Dave Chappelle...... who has a wildly different slant on comedy, albeit amazingly funny! But Nate is my favorite.
