There is no shower filter that filters out fluoride. You need a whole house system. The water in shower head filter isn't in contact with the filter medium long enough to filter it out. Fluoride needs longer contact than chlorine. Dr. Berg you need to do your research.

I moved away for 15 months to a different township near by when my house caught fire. It’s night and day when you compare the water. I can’t explain you this whole time I always wondered why my hair is so dull and dry and weighed down, until I moved in and instantly the 1st shower revitalized my hair back to what it was. It stood up , locked in, no frizz. Same company Aqua treats both houses. I want to move back there. Any suggestions? I thought an Ion exchange salt system ($3,000) would fix it here back at the house that caught fire, it helped a bit but it just took out some of the hardness, my hair is little better but it’s still hard to manage. I even placed a sprite shower head filter which helped little more but still unmanageable some days. I will try to find a filter that filters out fluoride. Thanks Doc.
zero water filters filter 40 -90% but thi is a slow drip for collecting in a basin, but you can take the water and use a spray bottle or pump or wash cloth, or your hands from a bowl I guess. better than nothing. they really do bring particulates from 90-350or whatever all the way to 0.
@@milana2020 yeah there really is nothing for fluoride when it comes to the shower tap, also you don't wanna use a pitcher if you don't have to. you want to find a 'Ceramic Water Crock Blue Pin Stripe with Spigot H20 Dispenser ' ( you can eBay search this) and then get the top dispenser assembly from zero that goes on top of this. This allows the filters to stay perfectly still and the charcoal and sediments can set up perfectly, the problem with water filters in pitchers is you're constantly disturbing the sediments that need to stay still to set up. You will get much less filtration when it comes to fine things like fluoride with these, and they will breakdown much quicker and turn sour. Overtime the proper dispenser will pay for itself compared to these

I was told by an environmental toxin expert that there is not a shower that can filter out flouride. If you have found one…can you please let me know the company that makes it.
From what I’ve found for the fluoride to be filtered out, the water has to be in contact with the activated alumina in the filters for 7-8 minutes. Which won’t happen in a shower otherwise youd be standing directly under your shower, just letting in drip on you kind of. And you need about 10 grams of activated alumina per 1 liter of water which is pretty much not happening with a shower head. Youd be lucky if you could get a showerhead to remove 15-30% of the fluoride in your shower and not for a very long time. I hope someone figures something out though!
@@SuperWishaniggawoods none. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Flouride needs boiling water heat in order to evaporate out. No filter can do that. Only distillation.

Hi any filter is going to help as long as you’re not using a filter at all. A year ago I wondered why my hair had no body and would not hold a curl when styling it and I researched on youtube and got a filter for my shower and I was so happy with the fact that my hair is softer and bouncy and yes it curls when I style it now! I got the standard one from amazon and I can’t live without it
Yeah just going to believe whatever we see on the internet. Losing hair while showering is going to happen because your hair is more susceptible to breaks and falling out when wet. You grow back more hair than you loss hair unless you're balding or just went through chemo.
Berg you can't filter flouride, there's only a couple filters out there that can filter between 40 and 90% and they're notset up for showers, you can't get any pressure!

Just stop taking a shower😳... 😂But seriously the water where I live has to be hard water its turning my always soft hair frizzy .can I use bottle water to rinse to get the extra stuff off???
Yes, make sure the water is distilled water, rather than “mineral water”. If you are thinking of using distilled water often, it might be worth it to get a water distiller. They cost $100-$200. 1 gallon takes around 3.5kwh of electricity which is around $0.60 if energy costs you the USA national average. I’m from the UK where it costs £7.80 (around $10) for 1 gallon of distilled water
I use the express whole house Reverse Osmosis water filtration system its 500 bucks for the entire house and yiu never have to buy water again OR if you just want it for the shower the AQUAYOUTH 2.0 Carbon Shower is a really good option 👌
I just took off a brand new shower head, from my new shower, I've only taken three showers in it, but the little screen filter is already clogged with nasty, stinky, chemical sludge! 😱
