  • We spend the day at Universal Studios Japan! After getting our timed entry tickets we enter The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and go on its biggest ride, The Forbidden Journey. After that we explore Hogsmeade which sits below the towering full scale model of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Strolling through the streets of Hogsmeade we enjoy some butterbeer and visit famous shops like Ollivanders and Honeydukes. Then we go on more rides including The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman (in Hollywood), Despicable Me Minion Mayhem (in Minion Park) before staring in awe at The Flying Dinosaur and instead opting to ride the Hollywood Dream rollercoaster. After a quick pit stop in New York for some pizza we head into Super Nintendo World which is absolutely amazing. The Mario themed world is the newest part of the park and once we had admired every inch of its design we go on the virtual reality (VR) ride Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge. Deciding against going on Yoshi's adventure as the queue was really long we instead return to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to finish the day by riding The Flight of the Hippogriff. As we head for the exit we catch a glimpse of Fright Night before getting the Japanese metro back to Osaka.

After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways.
In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Toadstool Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), they also have their own unique headbands which japan's headbands are better, while hollywood's shirts and hats are better. And rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning.
However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Toad) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures.
While in Hollywood, it's just you interacting with the mascot, the staff are allowed to use your phone for picture taking, and you are allowed to greet the mascots with how you like to greet them (plushies).
When I met Peach in Japan, the line takes longer compared to Hollywood (30 minutes in Japan). And she would just interact with the staff member every time and only interact with me based on what the staff tells her to do for the first 30 seconds of the meet and greet to fill in that time. When I even tried to greet her with my plushies, she just ignores them.
When I met Peach in Hollywood the line is way shorter (2-15 minutes), and she is even willing to get to know more of my different plushies, and with Toadette being her favourite, she would always be happy to hold her and hug her for the picture-taking. The meet and greet is straight to the point and no nonsense.

Interesting comparison! I went to Universal in Orlando a long time ago so honestly can't even remember it

Absolutely loved this park.Absolutely must would be the high-octane roller coasters, Nintendo world, Harry Potter and the blues Brothers if they’re still there.I wonder if Universal still running the special? Buy 2 Days and get the 3RD Day Absolutely FREE. I would stay nearby at a $$50.00US Hotel and go to the park for 3 days. Mild Crowd, not slammed. Absolutely Outstanding From Start To Finish // Absolutely Loved Every Minute
