    The F160 engine is very good. The ZF transmission is excellent as well. 300k+ miles shouldn't be a problem at all if the owner isn't a complete tool and neglects it.

    I love my Alfa Romeo Stelvio, when I bought it everyone told me the same thing, it would be unreliable and fast depreciation etc. I cannot imagine anything else for the same price could have given me that much fun all these years. Done almost 70k miles, interstate road trips a few times, no issues at all, just regular maintenance, really enjoy the design and how it feels, even it’s just a L4. As the big engines are giving way to EVs, started to entertain the idea of Italian V6 or V8 recently, so glad your video popped up. I understand that joy and feeling eager to set the story straight, Levante is on my list. Bonus points on the Hornet, I saw a few on the road and they looked just like Tonale, now I know why! Great work, never thought I’d get through an hour long video on CZcams 😂

    Hey Bob, I love this car and I'm looking at getting a 2021-2023 model. Max 30,000km. Here in Europe you pay around 60,000 eur for that. That would be a 2.0 mhev GT 330cv. The Trofeo is too expensive. Q1: What do think about the 2.0 version? Q2: Any particular model year which is more reliable than others, Q3: I am terrified of the maintenance costs. Being told that new brakes are like 3,000 eur, new air filter 300 eur, etc. Is it true that all parts need to be Maserati, incl. special Maserati brakes, Maserati air filter, etc? Thanks man!

    What’s interesting about the window switches in Stellantis made vehicles, is that they started life in Mercedes-Benz vehicles in 2010 and Tesla was the first company to borrow them and then Stellantis put them in all of their vehicles. Now what that should tell people is that they are Excellent quality and reliable!!! They keep using what works.. simple as that!

    It's stupid to complain about shared parts. People are not complaining about Rolls Royce sharing parts with a BMW 1 series or Lambos sharing parts with a volkswagen or even the 5 series having the same infotainment as a base model 1 series. This was a stroke of genius for STLA. Other manufacturers have definitely agreed, it's cost effective business strategy. As a matter of fact, people owning these luxury cars are glad for the parts sharing. Why pay three times more for a Lambo waterpump if you can get it cheaper from a volkswagen? Consumers are the real winners here.

    Hi Bob, I noticed your seatbuckle extender in the video...cause they are so dumb at Maserati they set the seat buckle so darn deep in that crevice. I own a Maserati Grecale: the design of the infotainment is horrific. So is the placement of the gear selectors and the stupid idea to have them as buttons. They are clunky and don't engage quickly. Also they are right above the touch screen for the climate control, which means the sensitive climate controls get inadvertently switched off/on. These design flaws wear you down over the time.
    - Do you enjoy having to hit the “accept” button every time?
    - In the Grecale, Tte audio mute doesn't hold. Many things like notifications in your connected phone make the music come back on.
    - Sadly there is a reason Porsche sells 4x more Macans than the entire annual production of Maserati.
    - Oh and I forgot: good luck giving your car to a valet. You have to give them instructions through the open window. The parking brakes only automatically disengage if you are wearing a seatbelt.

    No offense, but I don’t think anyone is looking to buy a Levante. The depreciation on these cars is well above just about everything out there, and the reputation is pretty bad. Not even a real Ferrari engine, but they will still charge you Ferrari labor rates to work on it.

    • @jasonknight5863
      @jasonknight5863 Před 6 měsíci +13

      That’s wrong. I mean spend $85,000 on a New BMW, Audi or Mercedes and you will have the same depreciation curve. With a much less prestigious brand. In addition to having much more problems because the “German” manufacturers. (made in USA) are full of issues and and plastic fantastics mechanically. My brother had a 2017 BMW X5 3.0 6 cylinder and the engine blew up on him with less than 66,000 miles on it. Before he traded it off and will never get another because they are rubbish made in Spartanburg , South Carolina.

      Depreciation??? WHO CARES???? You don’t buy a car for an “investment”……unless it’s a collector car. ALL CARS depreciate! If you care about depreciation, buy property. But I agree Italian cars are not for everybody. You buy a Maserati because you WANT it, not because you NEED it. 🤔🤔🤔

    • @RobertMoseley
      @RobertMoseley  Před 6 měsíci +38

      I bought the car already depreciated. You can get these for $20K-$40K in great shape.
      They are rare, and thats the point.

      They are indeed Ferrari engines. Clearly stamped on the block. Ferrari made them for Maserati. What other engine is it? Chevrolet? Hyundai?
      Reputation is great. Not bad. Very uninformed comment.

      Well… you saw the video the engine parts do literally say Ferrari on them. I’d say Robert got a heck of a good deal considering it’s basically a Ferrari Engine Luxury reliable S.U.V Made in Europe and not in the states like all its competitors are. I always personally go for imported cars as I find they are a lot better made than the Mercedes and BMW out there. We all know the multiple problems on them. I mean the Wizard 🧙 will refuse to even work on all BMW’s. Not so with Maserati he has said they are reliable and we also have had one for years and don’t listen to all the B.S about “ how bad they are” you couldn’t give me a free BMW, Mercedes or Audi made within the last 20 years. I’d have this in a heartbeat and my wife wants a Levante next …she will get it.

    One great thing about the Levante, there aren't many on the road, unlike every other luxury SUV
    So you stand out
    But for handling and performance, i'd prefer the Porsche Macan followed by the Cayenne before the Levante

    Bob, Italian cars never made it in this country. Remember Fiat, alpha romeo and others and neither will Maserati.

      Alfa Romeo.. not “alpha” 😂. So according to you because Fiat “didn’t make it” back in the 1970’s then this offering from Maserati is the same too. 🤣😂
