- All of us speak at least one mother tongue - a language spoken since our very childhood. But how many of us are actually ready to dedicate our lives for the right to speak it?
This is a brief history of International Mother Language Day to commemorate the courageous act of the Bangladeshi nation in 1952 for the right to speak their mother tongue. Let's hear from our faculty, Ms. Minnat Khan.
Happy International Mother Language Day, Everyone!

Thank you for your efforts in explaining Ekushe. I want to point out a small but important fact that all of us should be aware of refer to Bangladesh as East Pakistan in 1947. In 1947, Banglades was not called East Pakistan as you stated, it was East Bengal. East Bengal was renamed East Pakistan in 1955. East Bengal was a province of Pakistan. Thank you!
