I always sympathised the most with Remus. I really loved David Thewlis' performance of the character and always imagined what it must have been like for him when October 31st, 1981 happened. James and Lily dead, Marlene dead, Alice and Frank tortured to insanity, Dorcas dead, Peter (allegedly) murdered by Sirius; his best friend being a murderer and traitor. He must have felt very, very, very alone. (As has Sirius, of course, but that's for a different video!)

this video is constantly in my recommended and i just go come back to it bc it's so good - all the scenes from the entire "where we going, boys?" to the "change the world" - it's so very much marauders - and with the "you're in for a rough night, potter" to "enjoying yourselves, are we?", the dancing at the common room parties, the bonfire scene, all of those joyous memory-making moments surrounded by the tragedy of their futures and yet that "almost destroyed" line at the end that leaves us with the kindling hope that their kids and grandkids will carry on and eventually the world will be safe - there's so much packed into this video - it really is a remarkable creation! thank you

oh wow this is devastating in the best way
I wanted to sleep already, but I decided, hey, Oct 31 past and I'm still not depressed over these guys that much yet, so here I am crying before going to bed😭😭. Like, Remus Lupin was my favorite HP character and Andrew was my favorite actor ever. His story and character was so tragic I made an entire poem for him that I used for a school project. This whole video is perfect, and it's the best Remus Lupin tribute I've seen.
It's crazy how Andrew fits Remus so much and one of his recent projects (which let's be honest furthers the gap between Andrew and Remus' supposed age) didn't prevent him from being perfect for the character. I even see Remus in Jonathan Larson (both were born in 1960, died too young, and they were too good for this world😭). I love how even in the non-masks scenes, they all looking like they're on the same scene. You made moments that I have not seen in other vids before.
The "pity the living" line with a David shot as beinh alone is just painful. Andrew's acting is pefect, and I love how you included the line of Remus founding an access to the kitchen. That was a great ATYD reference😭😭. I love this character so much, thank you for this masterpiece!!

i'm emotional again - i've been drowning myself in hp fanfic for the past week, but let's go back to the real pain of this video - i do appreciate that you ended it on a happy/bittersweet moment (ALMOST destroyed) - but guh - remus was stuck so alone and ostracised without his friends/found family and with his furry little problem, he was looked down on by the rest of wizarding society, which meant, our bb was just grieving and most likely depressed and i just want to give Remus a hug, and adopt him, and smother him with blankets and give him lots of chocolate

@@worderly remus is my soft flower child and i love him and andrew would give him such a gentleness - truly, david thewlis understood that about remus - the wolf is this underlying rage and danger, but then there's remus who is the opposite and just - he makes me soft and weak
