For $169 during Black Friday sales, I picked up a pair, really wanted some Sonys but the price tag was out of my range, but I’m excited to check out the studio pros, my wife has the previous gen and so far I’ve enjoyed borrowing them from her :)
How are they working out for you? I put them on layaway during Black Friday, and I'll be receiving them next month. Is the anc pretty decent?
ANC is pretty good, I haven’t been anywhere noisy with them yet, but have worn them around the house with ANC on and did not hear our cat meowing at the door lol also didn’t hear my wife come into the room a few times. Sound it’s great honestly, Spotify sounds good but definitely shines with Apple Music, clamp force is still a bit tight and I do find myself fidgeting with them a bit due to cup size, but I wear them maybe 2x a week since I can’t wear them for work so of course they’re still not as broken in. I still really like them and wish I could test the XM5s I originally wanted but again at the price I got them I’m happy so far. Though I do wish it’s had the switch device mode like the AirPods have.
@210gnx if you like the beats you will LOVE the xm5. They're better in every way tbh lol. I own both and the sony wh-ch720n. I never use the beats after buying sony 😅
The Brown color is 🔥 The headphones are readily available for around $175 with the many sales that are out there for consumers. At that right and not the full price the Beats are a bargain.
I noticed when I connect to my Mac that the Beats actually connect via Bluetooth and USB simultaneously. Which is annoying. If you want to play with the EQ you must be connected via USB. And when you connect via USB you cannot use the ANC feature. Weird for sure.
Great review..thank you
An individual reviewer's bias is often extremely difficult for them to overcome/change....and of course that's often because they prefer not to change. Their mocking type behaviors make that clear.
Most of them are just reviewers, not even involved in making/creating or mixing music. Worst of it all, they complain about stuff where I do not care much for. To me sound is the most important thing, everything else is 2nd or 3rd.
IMO at this $300 - $400 price point, the Sony XM4's are still king. The XM5's do offer better ANC & microphone call quality, but at the expense of comfort, portability, and a less premium feel.
I'd take the Sony XM4's over the Sennheiser Momentum 4's any day of the week. The Bose QC 45's are also great for the price.
I'm glad you made the point about hair. I've had my hair curl in a way that it gouges the mic holes on some earbuds, making transparency mode extremely uncomfortable.
Nailed it except for the sennheiser recommendation as an alternative. Go with the Sony XM5s or Bose QC Ultra. Both are more comfortable, better sound, and better noise canceling.
Nice video, I have the same Beats but I have a huge problem, and is that my pc (Windows 10 OS) doesn't have Bluetooth so I have to plug in the Beats. The problem is that, I don't know why but first of all, the audio sucks, but it's not that bad, and second I am no able to use the microphone, It just does not recognize it. I use the "Y" jack 3.5mm adapter btw cause my computer have like two entrances one pink for micro and green for audio, I've tried everything even drivers, but still nothing, any idea?
@soundguys Can you please do a review of Skullcandy crusher anc 2?
Are they that bad? are the Apple ones better?
Picked these up for $170 on prime day 2. They seem really really quiet and are a lot tighter than my old Sony xm3’s.
Me too. I’m enjoying them so far. The fit is fine, the sound is pretty damn good. Right now my biggest issue is that they feel cheap. Very plasticy.
I did the same thing. So far, I’m not impressed with these. There are things I like and things I don’t. I can’t stand how I need to plug into my computer via USB-C to change switch from conversation mode to entertainment mode.
@@docglock2330I may be wrong, but I think that’s because the modes only apply when connected by usb c. Wirelessly they just use the regular beats profile. But again, I could be wrong. I’ve actually never connected mine physically yet
yall must have some big ass heads. These fit me just fine and went iver my ears easy and my head is 7 3/8. Listened to these prob 4 hrs ztraight without any discomfort.
How do I access the beats app mine are second hand so i had to repair them to my phone but i cant seem to find the app
what's the buy, Studio Pro for $179 or Solo 4s for $199?
The beats are super portable so perhaps compare them to collapsible ones like xm4 or bose qc?
i got them for 179$ so yeaaaa they are worth it ( for the price I got them) not 350$. also something reviewers don't tell the viewers you can connect them to your PC by usb so that means Gaming. For example I use them for escape from tarkov, COD mw3, warzone, battlefield 2042 the sounds is nice I can hear the every detail like footsteps. now kep in mind that when you are in lossless audio USB use preset 2 (entertaiment) to make it louder. now I use dolby atmos with them in via USB for better clarity. I also have the sony wh 1000 xm5 (there are better) . Now I need to try the bose QC ultra. but so far get this over a gaming headset it works better. since you can take them on travel and workout. ask me how I know.
I personally just like the way Beats look, I have a pair of Beats Solo 2 wired, because one of my favorite CZcamsrs wears them when he is gaming, and they still sound good, but they’re a little uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. I can get over the uncomfortable feeling as long as they sound good 🤷🏻♂️
Can the USB-C lossless work with android devices?
Hey there! Yes, it should work with Android devices, so long as the device and music streaming app supports lossless audio playback. Hope this helps. Happy listening!
@SoundGuys great thank you so much, also If you dont mind me asking, how is the audio quality on USB lossless? Is there an improvement, and are the Beat Studios good headphones for lossless audio?
@@Demeaiko_ The audio quality on USB lossless is just okay. In fact, our testing shows that the frequency response of the headphones changes when switching to wired listening. You can see our full measurements and results in our full review article: www.soundguys.com/beats-studio-pro-review-96146/
@SoundGuys thanks so much you guys are great 👍🏾 keep up the great content!!
Haters gonna hate
I just recently returned the beats studio pro. Great headphones but very uncomfortable for me, causes a lot of fatigue on ears, I get really hot on the face and makes me feel itchy.
Same problem for me. Got the QC ULTRA in its place
Does the sound leak??
no
I will gladly take the beats studio pro off your hand so thry won't be occupying your space. 😅
I just purchased my second studios. My big ass ears hurt after 30 mins. I hate you all. ❤
Nothing is wrong with Beats headphones. Sounds like haters on this video.
Mediocre headphones.
No ?
@@loviqueYh they r so quiet

Hater nerd. They 170$ 😂
They charge the same as Sony 🤣for this trash, there 5 second review
I think they sound a little better than the XM4
You are just like a biased reviewer w/o even having tried them 🤦🏼
Never buying sonys again xm5s broke within a month randomly stopped charging
