    aah, were booked for sabatinis on the royal in March this year. We loved it on the Emerald last year, so will be going in with some caution. you did the right thing sending it back.

    I have to say that you guys had the food equivalent to our room steward on the Ruby Princess. I waited a few days to complain thinking it would get better but that guy was terrible. I called to complain about no robes, no glass set up in our room when we arrived. Just a lazy steward who did the absolute minimum. Normally we are pretty chill but once I wrote down my complaints they couldn't have been nicer.
    The head of housekeeping visited us and gave us flowers and room credit. They were fantastic and my only regret was that I waited so long to say anything.

    Both looking very smart guys. The martini may have been good, but it was the second effort to get it right. When paying extra for a meal on a ship, if you are not happy with the product, you should send it back. By sending so many things back, they should have immediately offered a refund. That's just MY perspective. LOL. Great review as usual guys, thanks for another great video.

    I’ve been on 18 cruises and I took my first Princess cruise on Royal Princess the week after your trip (May 13-20). I don’t know what I was expecting but I would give the food a D+ at best. Carnival had better food. That plus a really rude Internet cafe staff person I doubt I’ll cruise princess ever again. I enjoy your honest videos.

      My wife and I were on the same cruise. It was our first one, so we had nothing to compare it to. But we did both feel that after all we heard about how fantastic the food is on cruises, we felt that this experience was average at best. But the Crown Grill did stand out and we wound up eating there twice. Agree with you 100% on the Cafe staff. Bar staff all around was fantastic. We'll most likely try another line next time around. Just not sure which one.

      I felt the service on Princess was better than almost any cruise I’ve ever been on. With the exception of the guy in the Internet cafe. I’ve never had such horrible wifi on a ship and he basically told me “perhaps next time you should cruise with Carnival or Royal Caribbean if you want better wifi!” What?!?! I’ve tried to talk to Princess but no one has responded so I’ll take my money elsewhere.

      We have never been on Carnival to compare the food. Generally Specialty Dining is where Princess Ranks at the Top. They Must have had A chef can’t execute the new Menu and a Lazy Manager. Thank You For Watching And Commenting

      Nothing much happened after speaking with Guest Services. We Did Speak With Our Future Cruise Manager Onboard And she was Able to Obtain Our Refund for the Meal.

    Hi guys, great video. I appreciate the honest review. I loved Royal when we were on her in September. Sabatini's was amazing and the manager was incredible. This guy looks like he doesn't care much. Now I'm a bit concerned about our August 12th trip on Royal. Do you know who the Lido manager is currently on Royal? I do believe the one we had last September was Marius, I think? He was the highlight of our cruise and did everything to make our trip better!! Let me know if you will be on Royal again this Alaska season.

      Thank You So Much For Watching. Our Lido Manager Was Pedro. He Was Very Nice. I wouldn’t worry about Your August Cruise And The Food. We Find Food On Princess Is Like The Weather That Varies Sailing By Sailing And Ship By Ship😀. Our Next Princess Cruise Will Be On The Grand Princess July 1st. So far we have no plans to sail on Royal Princess This Year.

    Just came across your video.... we was on the same sailing and ate in Sabatinis on Monday the 8th..... it was horrible, undercooked , cold etc... complained to no avail, the manager there didn't care , nor the food service manager.... we took it as a lesson learned.... food in the MDR and Lido was off also on that sailing.

      Tomorrow We Conclude 30 Days Onboard The Emerald Princess Back To Back Panama Canal Cruise And Happily Can Report That The Food And Service Has Been Much Improved Since We Were On The Royal Princess. Hopefully This Is Happening Fleet Wide. Thank You So Much For Watching

    I have reservations on the Crown Sabatini's. I'm glad that it is much better. The one on the Royal really looks disappointing. A bad meal is like a crooked card game. If the food is no good - the table goes over.

    I am so sorry you had that bad experience. The service isn’t what it used to be. If I took my first cruise now as opposed to 2009, I would not be falling in love with cruising the way I did back then. I hope the rest of your journey goes much better.

    It was obvious that the manager knew there was a serious problem with the food and was intentionally avoiding you.
    A good restaurant manager would want to know if there was a problem so he could get it fixed.

    We did quite a bit of investigating before we started cruising and decided that Holland America, and princess were the two cruise lines we really wanted to look at that fit our price range and the quality we were looking for. The travel agents that I was working with highly recommended Princess over HAL. They just don’t get a lot of positive feedback on HAL. But interesting that you seem to have had good dining experiences there and mediocre with Princess. I think people of a certain age take their dining experiences very seriously! From my one and only experience so far, I think Princess needs to keep a closer eye on the census and keep the number on board reasonable and need to up their food game if they want to keep the people that have made them who they are, thank you for all of your excellent information

      Thank You So Much. We have sailed on Princess 23 Times and Keep Seeing Inconsistencies in Food Quality Between Ships. We have only sailed on HAL once and came away with great first impressions. We will need to Cruise with them a few more times to see. Next year we will be on the QM2 for 26 days and that will be our first Cruise With Cunard. Thank You For Watching And Commenting

    Our dinner in Sabatini’s on Discovery the 2nd formal night was great. My wife declared her carbonara the best thing she had the whole week. Crown Grill was a real letdown. Basically the starter bread and creamed spinach were the only things we really enjoyed.

      When We Sailed On Discovery Princess this Past October For 23 Days. The Crown Grill and Dine My Way Were All Failures. We Tried Sabatini’s Which Was Their Old Menu Not the Revised One And The Food Was Also not very Good. MDR And Buffet Were The Best We have Had on Princess. Sounds Like Sabatini’s has Improved On Discovery Princess Thank You Very Much For Sharing

      We Finally Did Near the End Of The Cruise. We Had To Talk To Several People Before We Received Our Credit. Not As Streamlined As We Had Hoped. We Hated To Put Out Such A negative Video However This Was Our Experience. Thank You For Watching

    As someone who has worked several different positions in a restaurant for over 7 years, from hostess to waitress, I am so disappointed that the server knowing you were not happy with the start of your meal could not have the manager stop at your table to discuss what was going on. That person, in this video, already knew what you wanted to talk about and was definitely avoiding you. Had the manager stopped by I am sure it would have been a plus but his ignoring you was another minus. Thanks for your honest opinion and this just shows that the different chefs on different ships do make a difference.

    I have to say, Holland America is looking very good to me. Although I live in the Bay Area, I’m starting to think it would be worth it to fly down to LA, or up to Seattle, to cruise with them.
    I’m really tired of all the corners Princess is cutting.

    I was just on the Royal Princess March 12-27, 2023 and the meal we had at Sabatini's was the best of all even better than the Crown Grill (I had the filet mignon and it was not good). I believe that it was the same manager we had. The bread service was so good I had them bring out more and they were warm! I had the calamari and the lasagna. I also had the trio of deserts! All was so good. So sorry you had a different experience. I still have much to learn from your videos so keep them coming and I will watch.

      Thank You So Much We Were On The Royal Princess January 6th 2023 and had a different Sabatini’s Manager. This Gentleman told me he just arrived in March. Our Meal Was Good Then which was the old Menu. I have a video of that as well on our Royal Princess Series. I do miss the old Lamb Tortellini’s on the old Menu They were my favorite 😀 Thank You For Watching

    Guys I have to be honest. You needed to call him over and say something.
    I always on my first night of cruising have dinner in the steakhouse. I’m platinum with Carnival. Last time the soup was bad and my appetizer was cold. I called the manager over. Everything after that was perfect. For me to complain, it takes a lot.
    Let the manager know right away. That shouldn’t of happened to you.

    So sorry they even served you such disgusting looking food. We’re sure you know a perk for suite guests is to have breakfast in Sabitinis and if the breakfast food looks as disgusting as the dinner food you were served then cross that perk off the suite guest list. Shame on that Manager for not doing his job! You deserved an apology for the inconvenience and waste of your time. What an unfortunate experience!

    We were in Sabatini’s on Sky and the food was horrible. We complained and walked out. Fortunately, we were not charged for the meal.
