I wanted to share my experience with this handy tool. Overall I'm very satisfied! Music provided by Bensound (www.bensound.com) - Funky Suspense Thank you!
Great video! For how long do you have this tool and how do you sum it for the last this video was published? :) I really want to buy this multi tool to get some kilograms off my back while riding.
I have it since 2 years almost and tried to get used to it on the bike at home. You can do lots of stuff with it.. as tools I only carry this (as shown in the video) and those motion pro t6 combo levers for the big stuff (with a socket adapter because they didn't have a 19 mm hex for the front axle.) I don't carry a leather man or anything of that and it seems to work out for me. Only downsides of the motion pro trail tool: - the linkage will wear out with heavy torque. It's not designed for that - Minor thing but the flat screw bit is a bit thin, so you need to take care if you use it. Overall I can still highly recommend it! Even for the price...
Thank you for the detailed answer. - Where there is a linkage? in the shaft of the extension for the sockets? - There is an option to but this tool with SEA measurements and not Metric only for 17$ from MP website. I think if it worth but this option even though I need the Metric one and just replace the SEA sockets with my Metric sockets of Signet that I already have. The down side is the built-in sockets of the main metal piece.
That's the "linkage" I meant.. scontent-vie1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/22788760_2017252488551570_7931210728885041953_n.jpg?oh=75cef23b6aa7c0dd769beb1f85af5856&oe=5A757F9A To be honest I never used the built-in spanners a lot.. and I have zero experience with imperial nuts and bolts:)
Erratum: Lukas as an engineering guy wants the internet to know that nM could be confused with nanomolar or even nanometre. The correct abbreviation for the Newton metre is Nm of course..;-) Also www.adventure-spec.com/default/tools-motion-protrail-tool.html says the upper limit is just 12 Nm even though my included description sheet says otherwise.
