Straight white grandma here; one of my kids is trans (M to F), so I know a fair amount about what it takes to make the transition -- emotionally, psychologically, physically, socially, and (lest we forget) legally. The whole "TERF" thing gives me an exhausting sense of deja vu, echoing the "radical" branch of 70s "women's liberation" (yeah, I was there), which insisted that no one was a Real Feminist unless they were a lesbian. Then, as (alas), now, that total BS. People like Michaela Jae and my daughter went to a whole lot of trouble -- and some real hell -- to be who they are and they deserve to be recognized as a WOMAN more than I do. Hey, I just got lucky; like the song goes -- I was born this way.

Will there be nursing homes for this community of people as they start getting old? Are there enough of that community in the senior health care industry. Think of any condition that can cause a person to have to be in a nursing home. How will this community be treated if they have to rely on the way nursing home dog you now. Let me say that I am not in judgment here. I have friends and relatives that are gay. I am from a large family and just lost my mother in 2023 at 102 years old and she was at home with the family until the end. Four of her sisters are still alive and will not go in a nursing home due to the amount of offspring they all had. Some of these families have discarded them and disowned them due to their lifestyle. Who are they going to rely on as age is inevitable. Like my parents told me, have some children so that you have somebody to come see about you when you get old. Your friends may not be able to care for you until your end. Then even though they look like women there will be different medical issues that deal with true gender and need special care for those issues. That means a transgender man will be housed with old men not women. Hopefully this community has looked ahead and thought on what I have posted. They need to start setting up funds for their private nursing home care. Yes they look beautiful to the human eye and then there is God.
