What it looks like when a fan clutch starts to fail - 2JZ MK3 Supra gets a new fan clutch - 4K

In this video the 2JZ MK3 Supra gets a new fan clutch. After discovering persistent residue in the front of the engine bay after short drives I started looking into potential cause and discovered that the fan clutch was leaking. Once the clutch is replaced I perform a quick test and share how the fan sounds during a cold start.

Thank you for your feedback. With space being at a premium, I am using a modified LS400 clutch. I ended up buying one from Driftmotion ( www.driftmotion.com/Modified-LS400-Fan-Clutch-p/dm724.htm ). The fan is a new factory non turbo 7 blade for 7MGE. I would suggest running the modified clutch because it adapts the most condensed clutch for use with the 2GZGTE - where depth is at a minimum.
