Creating wealth entails establishing positive routines, such as consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for sound investments. Financial management is a vital subject that many avoid, often leading to future regrets.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $121k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

That is partly because they are targeted in some way and also don't want any more attention, attention gets old after awhile. I don't see Logan Paul worried about showing off his diamonds or lamborghini's. Taylor swift. All the most popular rappers, even if they're older. The richest athletes almost always flaunt their money. Your theory mainly applies to older billionaires who have already been through that phase and probably aren't used to social media to begin with.

@@otallonoI think it’s old money vs new money. Lots of wealthy people fly under the radar. The people you’re referring to are famous people. The fame gave them their fortune and some are just extremely talented and have made lots of money through professional sports careers or music. Without wealth management, lots of these people who get rich lose their wealth quickly. Lots of these “Rich” athletes or influencers don’t know how to manage their money or do what Graham is mentioning in this video. They spend all their money before their next paycheck and rinse and repeat.

The two replies above me are correct. That chick you married definitely doesn't sound like wife material. For one, she is waaaay too easily influenced. If she actually believes those people on her mind-control-dancing-pixels device are rich, she has fallen hook, line and sinker.
The fact that she now believes her life sucks means that step two of the secret corporate agenda behind the companies that bring those videos to her eyeballs is working.
Females are very emotionally driven. It isn't a bad thing, its actually one of the fundamental reasons that males love femininity, yet, it means that they are very susceptible to outside influences. When those outside influences consist of multi-billion dollar corporations that spend billions on research and development of products whose entire purpose is to exploit that emotional vulnerability for profit, they will win most of the time.
Her being unsatisfied with life will ultimately bring her to question the person responsible for her life, which is the person providing that life, aka you.
Sooner or later, she will begin to think she could do better. Then those divorce papers will arrive in the mail.
A while after that, an apology note she wrote will be attached to your door once she realizes you're the best she could do in hopes of emotionally manipulating you to accept the fact that she completely disrespected you and what you had to offer because, well, she needs someone to pay the bills.

no doubt social media is toxic. I'm happy I had a different upbringing. Years ago in Cambridge, I had Indian friends with successful, intelligent parents who taught me about saving. We even played a "Stock market game" in school. Today, I'm debt-free, with a credit score over 800 and can "survive" years without touching any savings. However, my family has a different approach. Despite my efforts to educate them, they struggle with debt and lack financial knowledge. My 12th-grade grandson prioritizes material possessions like an iPhone, airpods and a Dodge Charger and no matter what I teach them, they will not listen for a second. I feel so bad for them as they will have a hard live but I tried many times.

You work your money in any way. It could be your business, high paying job, rental income like... you do the work too. Naturally you tend to value money more so you rather invest it and enjoy it later.

Let's clarify, there is a difference between showing off wealth and faking wealth. Faking wealth is a broke ass pretending to be rich. Than there is "rich" that by all acceptable standards are rich and want everyone to know it. But people do that all the time, not just with money. If its a nice body, do you really need to run around with no shirt or tight booty shorts? If its education, do you need to decorate your office with all of your degrees and accomplishments? Some folks just like bragging>

This is why 20 somethings are crying so much today. EVERYONE is broke in their 20's, you aren't the first. How can you not be? You have loans and debt from college, had to buy a car, paying rent, have to buy all furniture etc, because you have nothing to start with, making starting salary wages at your job etc.. Give it time, you will all be fine.

No wonder why jackpot winners lose their money and a few see this as a life changing money. Better to eat from investment money than my money that sits in the bank.

OR, when you are digging in hard desert soils, rent an auger style post-hole digger. Drill some small holes in a circle outlining the big crater you want to dig, and then join them together with a shovel. Half the labor, half the time, and only a fraction more money. A tip from an old dry land gardener.

It does seem like most of the people around me that I know are wealthy compared to me. However at the same time if your wealth is fake, then it probably means you're in debt, and I think living a debt lifestyle isn't sustainable and eventually you'll run out of borrowing power. That happened to my uncle a few decades ago, but I don't see that happening to people around me. I think in most cases they really do have wealth whether it be due to inheritance, dual high incomes (ie. 150k isn't that impressive but 150k × 2 is 300k and tons of disposable income)

Living that fantasy life is so much more interesting than real life for some people. Too bad they don't have real life connections with real people to give them real meaning. Doesn't matter, rich or poor, people need real connections.
