Nah fam it mattered on who hit first because at this point both tanks would be gone. Especially with the tiger's incredibely flat front playe and the T-34/85's light-for-speed armor. It should have been a small match.
@@emmanuelmatchuca3871 im gonna just say this once. First of all, the Tiger tank IS a heavy tank. It is about 55 tonnes and by all regards it is a heavy tank. Second, the T34 is designed to replace their BT tanks. They are NOT built "SPECIFICALLY" to fight anything. A good example of a tank that was made for a specific purpose is the British Conqueror heavy tank, which is designed specifically to counter the Soviet IS-3s. Read on it more if you wish. The T34 is made in mind to be russia's general purpose tank, and was found LATER to be superior compared to panzer 3s and panzer 4s. Yes T-34s are better than pretty much any tank at it's time of arrival, but to claim that they are built for any specific purpose is wrong. There is no reason for a tank designed for a specific purpose to be mass produced in the first place. Third, panzer meant "tank" in german. You're basically calling it a heavy tank tank, medium tank tank. What? And last but not least, your last claim in the comment about the T-34 being designed to protect against Anti-tank weapon. This depends on what weapon are you talking about. Anti tank rifles? Yeah sure that'll probably do nothing to a T-34. But if you're talking about anti tank guns, you're once again wrong. The doctrine surrounding Russia's BT tanks and T-34s is to outmaneuver and flank flank flank. It is one of if not the fastest medium tank that was fielded into the battlefield, and it is NOT designed to take hits in the first place. That is literally tank combat 101 : don't get hit. It doesn't matter for most encounters, if a tank shoots another tank first, they'll have a high chance to come out alive in that scenario. And that is what the T-34 is designed for : speed and shooting tanks from their sides or backs. Their armour is found later to be a good insurance policy at it's time, much like how it was found later to be superior to most other mediums at it's time. Do i make myself clear? Now stop embarrasing yourself more. Unless you want to try to prove me wrong. In that case, go for it. I'm listening.

@@ArabLad69 t-34 didn't have a tiger 1v1. Also realistic? If a t-34/85 managed to get this close to a tiger the tiger would have died since it had a slower turret traverse and have flat armor. I'm sorry but there's little to no German bias here. We're comparing one of the biggest main tanks of the war armed with an 88mm, vs a lighter medium tank bearing a cannon of 75mms - already you can see the Tiger outclasses the T-34 to further push the point the Tiger is a slow Heavy tank meant to take a heavy beating from enemies (such as the Sherman or the smaller tanks from the allies) and still turn out victorious meanwhile the agile T-34 was meant to take on the main German mediums (pz3, pz4). The one way I see the Soviet T-34 coming victorious in this battle is with poor aim on the tiger and some lucky shots, a 3d battle where the T34 can ambush it, or if its fighting another medium The battle is unfair IMO (Heavy v Medium tank) but its fun to watch For proof of fairness I dislike both tanks (prefer Italian vehicles because they're funny) they're also a bit too beloved by some people despite the tanks in question being bullied by enemies, the environment and by even the manufacturing TL:DR Tiger wins because its big and its meant to take hits and land bigger shots back - T-34 is meant to help infantry and tackle mediums
@@Laconianarms The tanks here are quite evenly matched if looking at a 1v1 engagement. To start off the 85mm gun (you called it a 75 but i will take it as just a typo) of the T-34 is of very similiar performance to the Tigers 88mm. Higher caliber does not make a gun stronger, a good example of this is the Panther with it having a 75mm which outperforms the Tigers 88mm. Weight class of heavy vs medium also does not mean much as it's merely defined by the weight of the vehicle with the Panther having thicker effective armor than the Tiger while being considered a medium tank. The only advantage the Tiger really has in a head on scenario would be the T-34s poor optics which would make detection and aiming harder. In an actuall combat scenario the battle would be decided like most - based on positioning.
Heh, unreal fight. First of all , Tiger has higher range of shooting. He would've oneshoted T34 from being even noticed. Second, even if they stood next to eachother, one hit from tiger would've destroyed T34, while Tiger could easily hold against dozens of direct hits from t34
