John Kiriakou is an author, journalist and former CIA officer specializing in the Middle East. He was the first U.S. government official to confirm in December 2007 that waterboarding and other forms of torture were used to interrogate prisoners captured overseas. He was also the first CIA officer to be convicted for passing classified information to a reporter and served a 30 month prison sentence.

From 1990-2000, Palestine was united. 2005, palestine split into two. He speaks about eastern Palestine, which is not controlled by Hamas.

Kiriakou is so full of crap. He says, 'The Shin Bet officer asks, 'Spell your name.' Then he asks Kiriakou, 'Are you Jewish?' Kiriakou says. 'I'm not recruitable.' First of all, I am surprised that the Israeli asked Kiriakou if he was Jewish during their meeting with the CIA. That seems like a crude question for a professional. Second, Kiriakou's answer seems very defensive. No one cares about his religion, but he actually never answered the question.

This is the stupidest talk I have ever heard. Kariakou does not tell us one detail about who these friends of his were and what they were doing in Israel. For starters, this 'harassment' which he alleges happened, is probably criminal to some extent (clear cut trespassing is probably a crime - even in the Jewish state.) Did his friends report this to the police? To the American embassy? Kariakou's story does not sound real. It sounds more like the plot of a spy movie. Kariakou should bring his story to Hollywood.
