There were 3 Mercedes built for the film due to the fact that the observation team had more members. Each one was slightly differently but I know the one with the observation dome wasn’t used. However, it was later sent to Germany and is on display at the Mercedes museum.

Pretty much disturbed and paranoid about him taking a risk to save from a trailer falling off the edge. It would've least saved him if the aim tip on a barrel of Tranquilizer rifle wasn't dangled.

The lost world is one my favorite Jurassic Park movies because it feels more like a “survival on dinosaur island” and less like a “prehistoric park goes wrong”
I quite like this set, it’s obvious that your buying this for the Mercedes and not the Rex or Malcolm and that kind of sucks how lackluster the paint on it is, but I do respect that they did a new head sculpt instead of repainting it.
They knew James was going to be buying this set, they put BV in the serial number.
Beaver needed this. He was on a losing streak with all these toys and now he’s got a few actually good ones to help keep his spirits up and motivation to keep this glorious series going.
Wasn’t expecting you to review this that fast. I preordered it and got it when it first came out. Keep the unboxings coming😂
The Mercedes is based off the two versions that were on the island. Eddie Carr's Mercedes did not have the back, and Nick Van Owen's had the back. I made a video out of all 3 versions 🙂

I love beaver unboxing videos!!!! Especially when they have a cameo from the beautiful assistant!!! One of the first unboxing videos I watched of his had the beautiful assistant in it and made me laugh so hard to see!!!
There are three things I wish they could've changed
1: Not have it be Ian, should've been Eddie
2: I don't mind the Buck, definitely better than the original one from 2019, but those yellow stripes should've at least ran down past the hips, and of course paint at least the toe nails so it matches other Rexes
What should've been done is a two part set, one have one half of the RV trailer, the Buck, Ian, Sarah
The other set having the other half of the RV, Kelly, Nick, a Junior Rex, and the Doe. All just an idea I always had for a Legacy set, it's not that hard to put in effort
It would've been perfect if it had Buck and Doe T-Rexes together on a set, I would've put my money down if it's extra charges and it didn't made sense for Ian to place on that set if it could've been Eddie Carr like you said.
honestly, the Ian Malcom looks more like Masrani than Malcom to me
So glad to have this as well! Lost World may just be my favorite Jurassic film.
The Malcom Figure definitely needs a better head sculpt, but the Mercedes is spot on.
Next I want the Red Pontiac Malcom drive at the end of the film. Might try to customize my own if I can find a cheap 1/18 1969 GTO. And of course we need the RV!

yep i want this set real bad, still waiting in Canada, the release date i believe was oct 1st on target's website so hopefully we get them by December here . The rex really suffered with most of the budget going to the merc, i would of preferred an Eddie and high hide and have the rex separate with more sculpt detail and a lot more paint, Maybe we will get a second merc with removable roof , Eddie with dart rifle and the doe Rex in the future.

i would also back the trailers on mattel creations, hopefully we get more lost world next year, aside from a Henry Wu, the other car, a visitors center and the raptor enclosure jurassic park is pretty much covered at this point in legacy collection, i wouldn't even mind a jp3 boat set.

perfect everything about the set is perfect and aswell as the other old toys of jurassic park its colors will fade away in about 30 years but STILL it is amazingly perfect

The only new thing about this T.rex is the head sculpt they didn’t even bother to paint it correctly The least you could’ve done was give it a new body and tail and a good paint job

This is my favourite Jurassic Park I don't know why, I wished they sell more stuff like this in my country, it is hard to find Jurassic Park Collectibles here. Looks really cool, plus Ian Malcolm is my fav character.

I remember having the Remote control version of this car that scaled with the Kenner figures.
Also incase you forgot from the movie the reason the back can be removed is because there were 2 or 3 different cars and the one that nick and Sarah brought the junior rex in had the back part where as Eddie’s car didn’t have that back part.
Youre right, now I have to buy a second one. I always associated this version with Eddie, but you are right he was in the other version.

Mattel magic is back 🦖
I got this and the 93 Classic Explorer from Smyths and Mattel failed me again with their QC. The Explorer had a stray black paint line in the truckbed and the Mercedes had a big silver paint splatter on the driver's seat. As if a Pteranodon took a dump there. I got rid of most of it, but still some splatter showing. Mattel really nees to step up their QC.
