Today I show you another abstract work of art. You will go back to painting in a detached way. The first layer of paint is very simple. Simple tools are in the foreground. You can use the window wiper, a cake lifter or a plastic spatula or other squeegee. Have a look around the house, because the cake lifter, as I have already shown you, can also be used very well. First you apply your acrylic paint, a black one, and spread it on the canvas in the upper right corner. Add the other paint (different shades of grey). After the first layer of paint there will be more. I have only added a pink in different shades. The painting should match the colour of my chair. The lines and patterns, which I drew with the handle of the brush and the squeegee into the wet paint, let it look nice and interesting. Beautiful effects can also be created by using water. I also applied lines to the paint with oil crayon. I also wrote words in the wet paint. So I can say what I have to say. For me, this is also the freedom that should live in art. In the book on page 17 you will find the topic layers.
Just look at the channel. There are many more abstract, as well as representational pictures as instructions. Also painting on aluminium foil or a rescue blanket you can find here. Let yourself be relaxed about the painting.

ich liebe Deine Videos und beim Zuschauen kribbelt es sofort in den Fingern 😁 dann leg ich am liebsten immer gleich selber los. Hab leider zu wenig Geduld und lass die Farben nicht genug trocknen, was es bis jetzt unmöglich macht, vorzeigbare Ergebnisse zu produzieren 😎
Aber egal, ich liebe es mit den Farben zu experimentieren und wie Du immer sagst, dass Werkzeug auszuprobieren. Dabei kann ich total abschalten und bin einfach nur glücklich!

Guten Morgen Petra, danke wieder mal für den schönen Start in den Sonntag. Rosa ist sonst so gar nicht meine Farbe, aber bei Dir sieht es toll aus. Ich hätte vielleicht früher Schluss gemacht. Du hast recht, es ist für mich immer ein Problem, den richtigen Moment zu finden. Mach's gut und bleib gesund!!!
Guten Morgen Marlis, man kann niemanden sagen, wann man fertig ist. Wer den künstlerischen Prozeß erlebt hat, weiß einfach, dass mehr zum Malen gehört als Farbe und Leinwand ;) Bleib du auch gesund und hab einen schönen Sonntag ;)
Das sieht so leicht und einfach aus wenn du Abstrakt malst. Ich lerne immer mehr wenn ich mich deine Videos ansehe. Meine Schwierigkeit liegt in das Licht. Ich habe immer zweifeln wo ich sie draufsetze. Dein Buch hat ein Paar neiner Fragen beantwortet.

Ein sehr schönes Bild , das Zusammenspiel der Farben und der Wischer Technik passt hervorragend zusammen . Und Grau und Rosa passen eh sehr gut zusammen finde ich. Was mir allerdings sofort in Auge viel , war das Bild auf der Staffelei im Hintergrund , das hat mich sofort inspiriert was fröhliches zu malen . Thank you for your explanation during this video. In which you say just carry on and keep playing and discovering. that sometimes you don't know in advance where you will end up. I always thought that real artists always had an idea in advance and then worked it out. while I just start and don't know what it will eventually be. sometimes the painting is done and sometimes it doesn't work out the way I like and I start all over again. I thought that is why I am inexperienced and a beginner. I've even had a comment on one of my video that I don't even know what I'm doing. Because I put layers on layers and some dissapear. But how you explain it, that's how I feel it. Thank you very much! I hope your book will be published in English soon. My German is not very good unfortunately 😅 Again thank you and I am looking forward to your next video 🥰🥰
People who only know their craft are not necessarily artists. People who plan all steps are also planners rather than artists. Artists get involved in a process, no matter what the end result is. But they should dominate their craft. And if everything is right, then it flows and then something comes out of it with which the artist is happy. In between you can also have a lot of doubts and be down on your ground. Here I show techniques and sometimes art. And all that is only a small part.

I tried this technique. It is so much harder than paint drips and squeegee. My first layer of black and white has dried. I keep staring at it for days of adding that extra magic. Yours are flawless!💜

Petra, las dos pinturas que muestras me gustan mucho. Cómo sabes, no es cuestión de mirar una pintura es cuestión de ver, aunque cada uno vea lo que quiera ver.
La de tonos amarillos y negro, me muestra un camino hacia la luz y la alegria rodeando un abismo.
Y la que pintas en el video... yo solo veo AMOR por todas partes... solo tú sabes a quién le "escribes". El rosa junto con el blanco, sobre el gris y el negro contrastando... Qué tierna!.

Hi Petra, i really love your paintings. You always inspire me. I was wondering what you use in your paintings when you write. Is it a piece of pastel or is it a crayon? Also i was wondering if you used any green. That last colour onnthe top of the pink looked like it was an olive colour or was it grey? I wasnt sure what that was. yes, a pastel pencil. it looks olive, but it is pure green with the colour. the colour tone is created when i use a black with blue part and a pink with yellow part. yes, like Rai said in the comments, i often use cold with warm colours. colourful greetings
